ER doctor here…i see lots of blood there’s no such thing as vaccine induced thick blood sludge that clogs veins and requires suction (why do I even need to say this) also we don’t tell patients they have “beautiful blood”

@RogersHistory Yes, I have been slammed into by a kid and punched in the ribs. My coworker today went to urgent care because a kid punched her in the face.

Something in education that should be left in 2023? I’ll go first:

@ReadersRambling @teachbk Here they do it off the growth between beginning of year scores and EOY scores. There is no consequence for the kids not to do well as it isn’t graded so most kids blow through it. Also the gap for science and SS is higher than for reading and math so only they get rewarded

@teachbk When they did it here they used State Testing scores. Higher scores = bump in pay. It didn’t last long because it’s a horrible program for several different reasons.

Paying teachers for grades. Ok. So what happens when everyone gets all As?

Today was the day they found him, 25 years ago. People say "Never forget." That means they have the option to forget. Forgetting is a luxury. Some of us don't get to forget, because it could have been us. It could still be us.

@Jodie_Boisvert Yes it happens. I read less but still read because I needed that palette cleanser of non history sources. It does come back later.

I used to love to read. Now I'm in my Phd, and I read so much for school. The last thing I want to do is read more. So, I veg out in front of the TV. Anyone else temporarily lose your love of reading when you are in your PhD? I hope to go back to reading for fun when I graduate.

In Oct 1996 I was supposed to go to my first concert when I made the decision to move back home across the country. My one and only show was in 99 when a customer got me two tickets to see him in Virginia. It was everything I had heard. Thanks for the memories Jimmy RIP

@cincyemily @theDRAMAgoat1 This ! At one district teachers were allowed to have one but paid a fee for it. I was okay with this. At another you could have one as long as every room didn’t have one. Currrent district- no fridges.
