@CoachFranklinTX When I was the DC at Dripping Springs, I implemented something very similar to this early on. I also had “shout out another defender” portion where they would highlight a play or performance of a teammate. It completely upgraded our defensive culture, which leaked to the team.

Some observations since implementing: 1. Consistent, punctual feedback loops greatly benefit development. 2. There is no substitute for personal accountability in team sports / leadership development. 3. Drastically improves player ability to communicate findings / discovery.

This is a Defensive Self-Assessment that I use with all of my players following competitions. Gaps in each section are for 3-5 ex. from game. Ideally, player would complete immediately after competition & revise (or complete a 2nd) after watching the film. Anyone else do this?
