Coaches get on this hard worker. He had a terrific season and is developing into a great football player and leader. Another high character kid that I truly missed coaching this past season.

A few years back I told our Frosh coach he couldn't make a Nacho bar in the coaches office at halftime during the playoffs...... so the freshmen staff instead had a crockpot of chili in the equipment shed at halftime.... Get yourself a staff that has fun together.

I’ve been an unapologetic spread guy for a long time. Watching teams in this years state playoffs I think that’s changing. 2 and 3 back teams under center continue to have tons of success year in and year out regardless of the level of competition. I think there’s something to be said about building a program through the youth level and up based on selflessness and toughness, physicality and running the ball first. It might not be sexy and it may take time to establish but it ages well.

10 times out of 10 that when a dlinemen throws his hands up, it’s not holding. It’s the equivalent to a flop in the NBA.
