I’ve been an unapologetic spread guy for a long time. Watching teams in this years state playoffs I think that’s changing. 2 and 3 back teams under center continue to have tons of success year in and year out regardless of the level of competition. I think there’s something to be said about building a program through the youth level and up based on selflessness and toughness, physicality and running the ball first. It might not be sexy and it may take time to establish but it ages well.

@CoachNSchroeder We did some rudimentary research for the past few years and teams in divisions 4-7 in the state semi-finals are running at least 2 back well over 80% of the time and their run/pass ratio is something close to 3:1. Also very much agree with your take on spread takeaway on defense

I don't know who needs to hear this but stop running a 5 man blocking scheme into a 6 man box if your QB is just handing it off every time.

I’ve gotten this question a few times now, so I thought I would answer it publicly. The regions are projections based on the current seeds. If (when) the seeds change, regions will be assigned differently. Nobody is locked into any one region until the final brackets are cut.

This kid is a legit prospect. DPOY in our conference last year. Legit 6'4 215 lbs with a ton more room for growth. Ran a laser timed 4.60 too. He needs to get some big looks. Any help is appreciated.
