@EamonnFlanagan Hi Eamonn, Thanks for sharing this. It seems important to understand the different methods of calculating these numbers. Using FT:CT would probably be way higher than using JH:CT. It would be great to have one unified metric. It would be great to get your thoughts on this.

@tomgoom Was the 1.5x bw 6rm for leg extension or seated calf raises? 6 full range repetitions with 1.5x body weight in a seated calf raise sounds a lot. Sorry, haven’t had access to the whole study and only looked at the abstract so far.

Static stretching causes a temporary reduction in strength. Importantly, an element of this reduction appears to be centrally-mediated, suggesting that it likely affects other muscle groups as well as the stretched one.
