Never let athletic success inflate your ego. Just because you’re a successful athlete doesn’t mean you’re a better person than others. No matter how successful you become, always remain humble.

Hydration: The Game-Changer for Athletes Staying hydrated is one of the most important things you can do to maintain health and performance! ✅ Most athletes need 90–120 oz. of fluid per day + minerals lost through sweat. Simple tips to stay on track: ✔ Weigh in before and after training. ✔ Rehydrate with 16–24 oz. per pound lost. ✔ Include minerals during workouts >60 min. Why it matters: Even a 2% loss in body weight from dehydration can: ⚠ Cause headaches ⚠ Drop speed, power & strength ⚠ Increase risk of cramping & injury ⚠ Reduce circulation & cooling ability Pro tips for optimal performance: - Drink water consistently (set alarms if needed!) - Pack minerals/electrolytes for long sessions -Add 30–60g of carbs per hour of intense activity 📈 Heavy sweaters or extra training = MORE fluids + minerals ✅ Don’t neglect your controllables. Use this guide to assess your hydration needs and stay fueled for success

A Coach Cignetti jewel: “Good players want coached. Great players you can’t coach them enough, they want more, more, more. Inconsistent players want to be coached on their terms.” …(and always have a response or excuse)

Rest days are so important! 💪😴 Today, I found myself really struggling with actually taking my scheduled rest day even though I preach the value of recovery to my athletes and clients all the time. I ramped up my training volume this week, and by today I felt completely exhausted. Exercise and movement have been my routine for so long that sitting still feels… wrong? But I know forcing something today would have left me even more drained for tomorrow’s long run + resistance session. In my 20s, I would’ve pushed through, felt worse during the next workout, and paid for it in recovery and progress. At 35, I’m training with more intentionality no guilt when I honor a vital recovery day. Especially with the mental load of travel + business + coaching. It’s what actually drives long-term gains (muscle repair, strength building, injury prevention all happen during rest, not just in the gym). Even coaches and experts struggle with this sometimes. Knowing the science is one thing; living it is another. Just wanted to share because I know I’m not alone anyone else battle the urge to “do something” on rest days? How do you make peace with recovery? I use today for extra sleep, mobility, meal prep, or mental reps visualizing tomorrow’s session. Your body thanks you later!

Football players would be much better at tackling if they practiced year-round with only these types of drills. They need THOUSANDS of reps to understand how to use their body, maintain proper pad level and footwork, and learn how important it is to strike the ground hard with the lead foot to generate force. This is an easy and far more effective way to learn tackling without pads while avoiding injuries. Shoulder pads and helmets can hinder learning because they naturally cause the defender and runner to compensate upon contact. The focus ends up being on the contact, rather than FEELING the proper technique. Using these pads thousands of times lets you learn what it feels like to absorb and deliver contact. Proper feet placement and force into the growing is a critical detail that I see few coaches understand or emphasize.

Game week work for England. Look like a focus on going low (giving away the gameplan?) Number one thing I hear from coaches is players losing feet/no leg drive. It has to be focused on and trained. Have to Own that position so comfortable to drive

The NHSSCA is launching the ONE MORE CAMPAIGN. Here’s the goal—simple and powerful:
Let’s double our impact! This isn’t about numbers. It’s about standards. It’s about mentorship.
It’s about making sure no coach has to figure this out alone. Think of one coach you know. Have the conversation.

I’m extremely blessed and excited to announce my commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at Kentucky Wesleyan College. This decision means a lot to me, as it represents the hard work, dedication, and sacrifices that have gone into my journey so far. I want to thank God for the opportunities I’ve been given and for guiding me along this path. I also want to thank my family, coaches, teammates, and everyone who has supported and believed in me throughout the process. None of this would be possible without them pushing me to be better every day. I’m ready to embrace this next chapter, work hard, and give everything I have to the program on and off the field. I’m excited for what’s ahead and proud to be a Panther ⚪️🟣!!!!!! @AGTG Ready to work!!!!!! @kwc_football @CoachYoung41 @CoachClark78 @Playmakerhaddox @OnTopAthletics @CSmithScout @U_C_Reporter @PrepRedzoneTN @joe_spears7 @615Preps @CoachKSSteele @CoachFrase @SCHS_OWLS_FB @sixstarfootball @d1highlights @CoachDReid @CoachGammons3 @mdyer33lb
