@clh_strength It stings. But all that I have seen you produce & contribute to over the last 3-5 years on here gives me the confidence you are more prepared than most for a great, new chapter.

If you are going to introduce weights to your athletes, please make sure you get someone who is qualified to do so!! Kids deserve better

@SamaHoole Wow. Increased access to more food and upgrades to Living standards has positives. Who knew?
English

China's 18-year-old males are now the same height as American 18-year-olds.
Let that sentence sit for a moment.
In 1985, the average Chinese boy was measurably shorter. Not marginally: substantially. The gap was the kind you could see in a crowd, feel at a doorframe, read in a population chart without squinting.
Between 1985 and 2019, Chinese men experienced the largest height increase of any nation studied. Boys aged 7 to 18 grew an average of 7.6 centimetres in three decades.
What happened in China between 1985 and 2019?
Economic reforms. Rapid urbanisation. And a diet that shifted, quite deliberately and measurably, toward more animal protein. More meat. More dairy. More eggs.
The traditional diet was rice-dominant: and rice protein, it turns out, is negatively correlated with height across populations. When Chinese families got wealthier, they bought steak. Their children grew.
This isn't a coincidence.
It's a controlled experiment that 1.4 billion people ran on themselves over thirty-five years.
And their children are now eye-level with Americans.
English

@timkettenring Sounds like your average middle/high school (including club) level program for 🏀🏐⚽️🎽🤼
English

We just cooked the protein bar industry. 🔥
Most are candy bars in disguise: seed oils, gums, fake sweeteners, sugar.
Not @eatlineage.
New Protein Bar:
<200 cal
20g grass-fed whey + collagen
100% real food—no BS
Tastes incredible
🍫 Who's in?

English

@KenDBerryMD Not really forced, sometimes just happens since I workout at 5am and I train athletes until 7 or 8p Monday-Thursday.
English

@Coach_SwiftPT @DoctorTro False. He always cared about himself, what he ate and exercise. We grew up on a Mediterranean diet including lots of legumes, greens and plant based food. We had protein too but it was not the primary option all the time.
English

10 years ago, I had never cooked a steak 🥩
I was a doctor, scored on the 90% on my board exam, it was commonly known meat is “unhealthy”
It all changed when my wife @rosettesmix challenged me to understand obesity, the way i had with medicine
What i found was: they all lied

English

@NFL_Convo It’s not a powerlifting meet. Just have to keep the feet down and extend your arms enough to do high reps
English

@MidTnAthletics @missyMmcbeth I understand what you’re saying Ricky it would be tough to adjust 1 kid at a time, but we also have team sport coaches in their spring offseason who know their kids are playing travel club (think volleyball) and do not try to better manage volume despite the outside demands.
English

@missyMmcbeth As someone who does club and school team track, it’s not the school programs job to adjust their training to the private entities system. It is the private entities job to adjust to the school. If the similarity of training or the volume is to high, it’s the private entities
English

Private sector coaches blasting the high school coaches and vice versa is such a tiresome take.
If you’re not adjusting training based on what’s happening at the other facility an athlete trains out of you’re just as big of a problem as the person you’re blaming no matter how great you think your system is.
There are idiots in both sectors. Check the mirror first to make sure you’re not one of them.
English

@BreidenFehoko I’ve told high school athletes I train who are post op they can still stop into the group sessions to just be around us so they don’t feel as disconnected.
English

After the birth of my son that same night my coach called me & while I thought he was calling to congratulate me he told me on the phone “remember what your day job is.” I remember sitting in the hospital mad and confused.
It’s not even this situation that comes to mind when I think about mental health awareness in the NFL. Ask any player that’s suffered from injury and ask them how excluded they feel from the team. The only time a coach talks to you is when he’s basically threatening your job so you rush back knowing you aren’t 100%.
I’ll continue to speak up for the players who feel they can’t because of that toxic culture.
English

@CaryKelly11 So you chose the other liberal party LOL
English

Me 10 yrs ago:
Govt knows best
Doctors heal
Fat = no willpower
Red meat bad, white meat good
Balanced diets
Sun is cancer
Hate my life
Liberal
Me today:
Govt isn't public service. It's self-service.
Doctors deal drugs
Food is boobytrapped
Beef is king
Nutrient density
Sun is life
Love my life
Republican
English

@CaryKelly11 @ElkinsCattleCo Carnivores allowing themselves to have onions
English

This was one of the best meals I’ve had this year. It’s ground beef from @ElkinsCattleCo, topped with eggs cooked in cream and caramelized onions.
Total carbs was around 25 g and I have no regrets. The way all of the flavors gelled together was unforgettable.
I’ll be doing this again real soon.
English

@DoctorTro I ate all that listed and didn’t become obese, miserable, or pre diabetic. Perhaps your relationship with food and other stuff in life was more to blame.
English

@SBakerMD This hurt my back, knees, hips, ankles and feet to watch
English

Sprinting is not a skill that most people after 40 retain- film yourself trying and you’ll likely be shocked how bad you are if you haven’t done it in years (in my book what Portnoy is doing would not even qualify as sprinting but it’s likely all he can do currently)
Dov Kleiman@NFL_DovKleiman
Dave Portnoy might be the worst athlete we've ever seen. Portnoy is 48, moving like he’s in his 70s 🤦♂️
English

@mattham2 @akashanav “The specific exercises you do and with a specific technique will damage your biomechanics ——> injury”. Sounding pretty GOATA/FP. There is already room to change this for team & individual. Less recovery/sleep because of added PR time & raising kids also adds up.
English

@Coach_SwiftPT @akashanav And the whole offseason, training camp, OTA’s. The specific exercises you do and with a specific technique will damage your biomechanics ——> injury
English

@mattham2 @akashanav All that required and allowed time has been regulated more over the years. There is some flexibility the first few months of offseason but most are also back home with their own trainers. As you transition into late spring & summer, it’s getting reduced as other activities go ⬆️
English

@mattham2 @akashanav Few hours each week with S&C staff vs few hours each day for film/team meetings and few more hours each day of actual practices? lol
English

@akashanav If any OC had the worst offense or DC had the worst defense they would be canned after a year. Why is S&C staff any different ?
English

@RUGBY_STR_COACH @akashanav This goes over too many people’s heads.
English

The commonality is the head coach, who is ultimately in charge of every single rep that gets performed in training.
Put the worlds best strength coach with someone who can't/won't manage practice loads, the strength coach looks dumb and people call for their job.
Put a poor strength coach with a head coach who can, you win 7 natties and they build a statue of you in Tuscaloosa.
Dustin Perry has more intellect in his left nut than Scot Cochran has in his entire brain and yet here we are. It's Shanahan's fault.
