“Hear Me…” Mike Tomlin GOLD 🔥 “It’s not what you are capable of; it’s what you are willing to do. Plenty of people are capable. Fewer people are willing.” Potential is common. Commitment is rare.

Underrated coaching truth: The best coaches aren’t obsessed with talent. They’re obsessed with effort. With attitude. With toughness. Because when it gets hard, that’s what still shows up.

@Mavjonesdotcom He just made these statements under oath, under penalty of prison. Are you calling for Trump to do the same? Nope!

Curt Cignetti has a fascinating philosophy...don't waste anyone's time, coaches not expected to work nights just get work done, limited practice to keep players healthy

You can’t fake confidence as a Linebacker. It shows up in your first step. In the way you commit to your fit. In the way you fire through the ball carrier. Confident Linebackers never hesitate. Which is why they’re a nightmare to play against.

Linebackers: If you’re missing tackles… You’re probably not taking the right ANGLES. Fix the approach and you’ll fix the tackle.

A common mistake Linebackers make? Turning their shoulders too early. Great Linebackers stay square as long as possible.

Linebackers: It seems like such a small thing… But your first step means everything. It proves your eyes are focused. It sets you up to take a great angle. It gets you moving in the right direction. Elite Linebackers master their first step.

Coach Leach used to say “all sacks are on the quarterback.” As a player, that used to piss me off — because we all know that's not true. Sometimes the protection breaks down, a back misses a chip, or a tackle gets beat. But looking back, it was great coaching! It was about ownership and improving the situation. If you’re a quarterback and you view every sack as being on YOU, you’ll look for ways to improve it: -Change the play call. -Adjust the protection. -Check the ball down. -Scramble. -Throw it away. But if you shrug it off as “the O-line’s fault,” you give your power away. You can only improve when THEY do — and that keeps you stagnant. The same principle applies in other area’s for QB’s. A receiver drops a ball? -Take ownership. Ask yourself: Did I have the right pace? Was it a good location? Was it the right read? Did I spend time with him after practice working that route? A missed signal? -Take ownership. Did I communicate it clearly? Did I hold an extra signal meeting? When you take this mindset — “it’s on me” — you stay focused on how you can grow, not on who you can blame. Now, bring that into your own field. What are the “sacks” in your business, career, or relationships that you can start taking ownership of today? Because ownership always leads to improvement — and excuses always lead to stagnation. coachlukefalk.com/themindstrengt… #MindStrength #Leadership

A big mistake young Linebackers make? Their eyes are everywhere. They look at the ball, the motion, the quarterback… Then their feet freeze. Instead? Simplify. Get your eyes on your KEYS. Then TRUST what you see. Focused eyes lead to fast feet.

Linebackers: You don’t get stats for: Owning your gap. Keeping your leverage. Having a great Pass Drop. But playing within the system wins you games.
