It was great to pop out for the 2025 @StrongTowns National Gathering in Providence today. I got to see some familiar faces here, including @the_transit_guy and @CobiFrongillo! Spent the day hearing from pro-homes advocates in the region - had a wonderful time here @ #NG2025 🤙🏘

Franklin's strategy for complying with MBTA Communities builds upon the excellent efforts already undertaken by the Town, aided by a strong coalition of housing advocates, to promote the production of missing middle housing near its downtown & train station.

Formed in 2023, BEN For Franklin has had a major impact on housing policy. Franklin's MBTA Communities rezoning passed 9-0 at Town Council & went above and beyond "paper compliance," encouraging walkable, by-right, downtown development with decreased parking requirements.

While in @TOFranklinMA, town officials provided Commr Heiple, Regional Director Pigsley and team a tour of the Town’s existing recycling drop-off facility and discussed plans for developing a state-of-the-art recycling center at the site. ♻️💚 #RecyclingWeek #RecyclingCenter
