I can understand neutrals writing us off, but I can't for a second understand our owns fans. The job Emery has done at our club is nothing short of amazing. He has made Villa Park a fortress, especially in Europe. We aren't in great form, but I 100% trust Unai to get it right!

The whole of world football wants to see #AVFC hit with a 25 point deduction and thrown out of the Europa League for match fixing that game against #THFC. Strategically throwing a game to put additional pressure on a Europa opponent deserves massive punishment. #NFFC #WHUFC

We were 3-1 down against PSG and then 0-2 down at home, but the crowd that night helped pull the tie round with incredible support. All I’m seeing on here is negativity which in turn will make for a toxic atmosphere Thursday. Try not to bring your negative bollocks on Thursday.

Vitor Pereira you wondrous little magician. Unai Emery tried the rotation game and it fell flat on its face. Against the odds, Pereira pulled out the old UNO reverse card, made 8 changes and beat Chelsea at The Bridge, surely securing Forest’s Premier League status and resting key players before another historic night on Thursday. Pereira was right in his pre-match interview. It’s not always about tactics, it’s about spirit. You can’t quantify that on a spreadsheet, or put it on a graphic on the TV screens. But this Forest side have it in abundance, and Vitor Pereira has found a way to draw it out of this group of players, who we all know are too good to go down. A European semi-final, 10 games unbeaten and another season of what will inevitably be Box Office antics in the Premier League.

@KevHughesie If villa win Europa and qualify in top 5 champions league places go to 6 If arsenal win champions league it goes to 7th I believe. 8th would be Europa and 9th conference league. However Europa could go to 9th if city win cup, If palace win conf could be 10th

The job of the media is to make everything into a 'talking point' with hot takes - it delivers clicks and sells newspapers. This 'Villa played a weakened team' claim is ridiculous. Did they not watch Villa lose to Brentford, Wolves, or Fulham lately?

Villa are 5th and almost certainly going to qualify for the Champions League for the second time in three years and are in a European competition semi final. On their resources, with a massive squeeze from financial rules. Remarkable job #avfc

Everyone likes to talk about Unai Emery as an elite coach, but 7 years later he still hasn’t worked out how to successfully juggle a league campaign alongside a european run

Unai Emery … Sevilla 2013-14 - UEL Winner - 5th 2014-15 - UEL Winner - 5th 2015-16 - UEL Winner - 7th Villarreal 2020-21 - UEL Winner - 7th Arsenal 2018-19 - UEL Runners Up - 5th Aston Villa 2024-25 - UCL QF - 6th (Joint 5th on points, only didn’t qualify for UCL due to a awful decision last game of the season) 2025-26 - UEL SF (AIS) - UCL Qualification I’ll let you make your own opinion but for me, he can juggle Europe & League

I see a lot of negativity from Arsenal fans towards Unai Emery, and to be honest I think it's a bit strange. No one will pretend that Unai Emery worked out at Arsenal. He took over a club that was drifting on and off the pitch, immediately after the departure of a club legend. The mood around the club had been negative for a number of years. The recruitment had not been up to scratch. It wasn't a happy 18 months. He then went to Villarreal, won a Europa League title, the club's first major honours and backed that up by reaching the Champions League semi-finals the year after. At Villa he took over a squad that sat 13th, 4 points clear of relegation and has finished 7th, 4th, 6th and currently has them 5th. For a manager supposedly "incapable of balancing Europe with the Premier League," he's reached the Conference League semi-finals, Champions League quarter-finals and this year the Europa League semi-finals. A level of League consistency we haven't seen from Big 6 clubs like Man United, Spurs and Chelsea in recent years, whilst balancing Europe. He's clearly an incredibly talented manager. The Arsenal fans that are blaming Emery for rotating, (no doubt motivated by the fact Spurs won comfortably) when they still have a chance of winning a first trophy in 30 years... Just come across as weirdly petty. It'll be 7 years this November that Emery left Arsenal, their fans that are still looking to looking to downplay his achievements, need to move on!

Why does everyone suddenly think Spurs are safe when they can’t win at home and their only away game is at Chelsea where they can’t win. They are still shite

I don’t blame Villa for resting players ahead of a must win European game. They’ve had a good season and earned the right to do it, not their problem if other teams haven’t. Think people are just annoyed it’s Spurs who have benefitted from it. Nobody would care if it was Fulham.

So much chatter about Aston Villa's team selection but not a mention about Tottenham missing EIGHT players through injury - including their captain, first choice striker and four most creative players 🤐
