@Prince_dc21_ A landlord did this to me that year🤣, chinedu . I did cry or beg I simply moved out but before I did I pour red oil on the walls remove my lamp holder remove the protector I fixed.

How can Nigerian landlords be this wicked 💔 I got this apartment that I was told costs 300k yearly rent, but the place was completely tattered. The paint had peeled off everywhere, the switches were not working, even the light lamp holders were very bad. But because the environment was peaceful, secure, and the room was very spacious, I still paid for it. After paying, I started fixing the place with my own money. I bought 2 buckets of paint at 30k each, making it 60k, then paid a painter 10k to repaint everywhere. I also went to the market, bought wiring materials, lamp holders, and lights, then called an electrician to rewire the place properly. In total, I spent over 180k fixing the apartment. After everything, the room became very neat, beautiful, and presentable. Now my rent is about to expire next month, only for the landlord to serve me a rent increment letter from 300k to 500k. And the painful part is that the landlord said if I can’t afford it or don’t want to pay that I should pack out. How can people be this heartless? As I’m speaking now, I honestly don’t even know where to start from because I already planned my finances around renewing it with 300k.
