I don't think it's an issue if Darche stands pat because it's not as if he went into today saying he wasn't doing anything.
If there is/was a deal he could make to bolster the club that he felt good about, he'd do it, but he's not making a trade to make a trade.

Aitcheson won’t play PP1 or first pairing minutes ever in his #Isles future because Matthew Schaefer is already THAT guy.
Flipping Aitcheson for Kyrou would turn Noah Dobson into Heineman, a great F prospect and a current first liner.

So is trading for a player or players (forget Thomas or Kyrou) who don’t fill what their specific needs are.
No matter what happens, people are going to hate and bitch about Darche if it doesn’t meet their expectations.

Wow the rangers are pathetic 🤣 Rangers swept the isles last year only to be the sole reason the Islanders ended up getting Schaefer and then proceeded to get absolutely dismantled by that team during the worst season in the modern era of their franchise. Sending apology letters to their fansv🤣 Used to be a great rivalry. Such a shame.

NYI owns COL's 1st round pick this year. That has a good chance of being the 31st or 32nd pick. Feels like that could be the return. Or possibly next year's NYI 2nd rd. pick and something. We'll see...

I'm hearing #NYR are on the verge of their first move of the retool. A trade that sends Carson Soucy to the #Isles is brewing. No official announcement yet as they work out the particulars, but expect him to be held out of the lineup tonight for roster management.
