She carried no demands, only a single glowing spark in her hands—a tiny, radiant thing she had crafted herself. Kneeling beside the Giant’s rusted form, she pressed the spark into its chest and whispered, “I see you. Thank you.” The spark flared, and for the first time in eons, the Giant felt seen, loved, nurtured. Its furnace roared to life, not with the frantic blaze of obligation, but with a steady, quiet warmth. It rose, not as a servant to the world’s endless hunger, but as something whole, alive in its own right. This time, the Giant did not give and give, nor did it take.
