I know there is no way to please everyone with any project but as someone who works in the industry & therefore is dependent on its success for my livelihood, I am BEGGING those in charge of films/shows, to SHUT THE FUCK UP. PR is NOT that difficult. Do research or stop talking.

Noah Hawley says his ‘FAR CRY’ series won’t be adapting any of the games as he thinks audiences skip the story cutscenes in those games. “When you play a video game, you only really move forward through the gameplay section, and then you have these cut scenes that you can skip, so when you go to adapt those games you have to be aware that makes the human drama kind of irrelevant to the storyline.” (Source: Deadline)

Just realized it says “live the first two.” I in fact do not live them but I do love them. Great sci-fi creature films with a large amount of heart & stellar performances on screen with good technical excellence behind the camera.

David Fincher’s planned sequel to World War Z, starring Brad Pitt, was cancelled by Paramount in 2019, but after the recent merger, Paramount is reviving World War Z 2 as a high-priority project. @EricDJuly Sign me up for the firmly anti-ai cult. Only argument I've heard for it is in the way of a placeholder or proof of concept. For example, someone lacking an artistic talent or resources in some medium & using it to pitch. It then needs to be entirely replaced by a real artist tho.

My general thoughts and observations on AI right now:
- Mass adoption in the short to medium term feels inevitable. Even if it’s just to test or a craze.
- Commercial viability, however, is still a major question mark. Everyone talks about what it can do, but how much (if at all) people are actually willing to pay for creative work that utilizes it hasn’t really been tested. The verdict is still out.
- At the moment, it resembles an economic black hole … and I hope it doesn’t bankrupt the country. It’s giving Cold War–era arms race vibes. Outside of hardware, almost none of these companies are making money. Many are missing projections, even ones that anticipated early unprofitability.
- A near-religious allegiance is forming on both sides — pro and anti — which is making honest discourse increasingly difficult.
- In creative industries especially, community is going to matter more than ever.

Is there any good reason why US politicians, on either side, have any need to go overseas or really have any diplomatic relations with foreign governments if your position is not specifically an international role. Govs/reps/sens/etc focus should exclusively be local. Genuine ?.
