Don’t believe spin designed to preserve an Iran appeasement policy. Iran has already escalated. Lack of response to restore deterrence keeps inviting more and more Iranian escalation, drawing us away from China focus. Unsustainable. Need to restore deterrence. Xi taking notes.

If we quit Ukraine now, our credibility around the world will be greatly diminished. Who is going to believe that we will help defend Taiwan against a Chinese attack --using our own soldiers -- if we don't even have the staying power to give weapons to Ukraine? Xi won't; Taiwanese won't.

I don’t follow. China is the primary threat America faces. Why should we divert resources, will, and attention to lesser threats?
Europe should step up, though, as the Russian threat to Europe is real. Now is the time for France and others to take a leading role!

Russia is a Pacific power. So is North Korea. Both are partners of China. Reinforcing them through joint action and possible victory in Ukraine is going to divert "more money, weapons, political capital" than helping Ukraine fight off Russia and its partners. Realism.
