I am not trying to make my Catholic friends, who I love, angry with this statement. But this entire episode is starting to explain to me why so many Americans were concerned about a Catholic president for so long. I have no interest in Rome trying to dictate American policy. And if it continues to loudly make its opinions heard on our foreign policy, I believe they’re going to find a lot of American Protestants feeling a lot less ecumenical than we have been in the more recent past.

@MattyMok @coa34858 @CollegeFBonX Awesome, you’ll love it! If you’re by the lake at all I’d also recommend Indiana Dunes, which is a beautiful state park. But as a Notre Dame family we spend most of our time on campus because we absolutely love it! Enjoy the trip, that’ll be a great series !

@ColeMcCarty8 @coa34858 @CollegeFBonX We really haven’t planned that far ahead aside from the fact that we won’t be staying in South Bend and plan on a Thursday-Sunday trip. I will definitely recommend staying on Lake Michigan, that time of year should be scenic.
