This is a major story about @Uber that is not getting enough attention 👇 For quite some time, Uber has been well aware that they have a MASSIVE safety problem. A growing number of their drivers have been accused of (and convicted for) sexually assaulting passengers. Yet instead of actually addressing this issue and giving a damn about customer safety, they went on the offensive AGAINST VICTIMS. They actively targeted and “trashed” victims, looking to both silence them and stories about them — while simultaneously running a bunch of woke marketing bullshit claiming to care about women. One exec even said in a Slack message found during the lawsuit: “I trashed rape victims to USA Today…” Let that sink in. That’s who we’re dealing with here. Absolute scum. And now they’re being taken to court by victims, thousands of victims and they’re losing, badly — being forced to pay out millions in damages. And we’re just scratching the surface, there’s still *thousands of cases* yet to be litigated. I hope more of these verdicts keep coming. I hope more of these victims get the justice they deserve. I hope this disgusting company, that looked the other way, is fined so much it hurts. And I hope the execs who actively targeted and “trashed” victims are bankrupted.
