I know social media platforms can be toxic….but honestly sometimes X provides a wonderful connection with total strangers. A way to feel less alone, get help, advice or motivation. A way of just realising….i ain’t alone. And hopefully with people commenting on my feeds, especially around MH, then others get similar benefits. We all have those days. Ur not broken, bent or done. Ur just on pause. 🙏🥰

This week in the Police College, we have welcomed eight new Police Trainers to the team. They will provide training to the Student Officers within our Foundation Faculty and have commenced their Level 5 Advanced Diploma in Professional Teaching through Ulster University.

Was having a bit of a shocker last week…few days of the cloud, not exercising or leaving the house and when people asked…my answer was ‘life’s just a bit shit’ ☹️ NOW….as much as that’s ok…LIFE wasn’t a bit shit….certain elements of it were, and certain things had affected me. But life in the main was still ok. It’s important to remember that. There are things that will get us down, but they are all only elements, to what in the main for most of us, is a good life. I have to take stock and remember that sometimes…roof over ur head, friends and family in your life…and food in your fridge….LIFE IS OK. 👍 (Much better this week by the way 🙂)

I saw this last week and it really resonated….during lockdown I was mentally crumbling and falling apart at the seams…BUT all my social media said otherwise…#livingmybestlife was a frequent tag line, despite being fully in the grip of insomnia, depression and PTSD. Even now, sometimes my life looks amazing on here…lots of events and smiles….and in the main…it is. BUT NOT ALWAYS. There are still days I can’t leave the house, days where something knocks me off my surfboard and I’m drowning again for no reason….but I’ve got better at getting back on the board these days…and I’ve also stopped pretending life’s good when it isn’t always…because I am HUMAN! And this is REAL LIFE…and I am a REAL HUMAN!👊
