@Chris_McClem Not only is 10,000 miles too low the 25 pence per mile is excessive. These additional changes being added on the VAT on advance payments, with Motability staff unable to answer questions.

If during a recall motion about SEN children’s summer schemes you feel the need to talk about everything but SEN children’s summer schemes then you’re certainly not an ally to people living with disabilities in Northern Ireland.

@BelTel can you please stop the Stephen McCullagh stories. I don’t want to read about the murderer anymore.

@Crofter1798 All car leases have mileage limit. Private leases usually have a choice for the amount of miles. But not everyone relies on their car every time they leave the house.

@terrymccorry Surely that aligns Motabilty with non motabilty leasing and brings parity and equality?

Please read and sign. This is a surprise announcement by Motability. 10,000 miles a year is not enough for many people who rely on a car for everything they do. The penalty of 25 pence mile seems very high for car leasing industry. petition.parliament.uk/petitions/7524…

Is there a petition for Motability to stop the introduction of a 10,000 mile per year allowance with a 25p per mile penalty?? @MotabilityOps

Stormont has been recalled on Tuesday at 12 noon to discuss what went wrong regarding the Summer Scheme fiasco. Please retweet if you think they need to support our young people leaving school post 19. Is it fair that they should all sit at home with nothing to do?

@Dis_PPL_Protest @MotabilityOps I contacted them today and asked to register a complaint about the changes. They accepted the complaint for their records and will not be providing a response. Is there a petition ?

And now that the Education Authority have performed a screeching U-Turn, I fully expect the EA's chief exec to be offering up his resignation over this. Incompetence on a staggering level.
Ryan Hendry talks Autism & ADHD@RyanTalksAutism

Just to make it clear by the way, the Education Authority is arguing that they need specialist nurses present at every SEN Summer School, despite clinical advice from the Department of Health telling them this isn't needed. The EA have chosen to ignore this clinical advice.

@MykeyLorimer @Chris_McClem If I went for a car with the same deposit as my current car and do the same mileage over three years I will have to £700 vat on the deposit, £1200 on mileage fees and a £1000 on EV eVed over the period of the lease.

The reduced mileage allowance will push more families of disabled children to chose home to school transport services (school bus or taxis) which will cost more to the public purse than parents doing school runs themselves. A complete nonsense

@Chris_McClem Do you know Motability customers need a VE103 to drive their cars in the Republic of Ireland as it’s an EU country? And it needs to be paid for!

@CalebsCauseNI @nichildcom @ChrisNICCY Now we need the ministers to come together and get the draft disability strategy rewritten to include things that will actually improve the lives of disabled people.

@nichildcom @ChrisNICCY It just shows that U-turns can be made. Ministers from more than one department can come together and act when they choose to 💔 for Caleb’s Cause families Post 19 SEND is beyond crisis. We need everyone speaking out on this
