Not saying Anthony Volpe can’t be a good major league shortstop — he won a Gold Glove as a rookie after all — but he can’t be shortstop of the New York Yankees.
That’s a position with prestige following Derek Jeter.
Volpe’s best shot of extending his career with the Yankees is becoming the 2B post-Jazz Chisholm.
