The BeyeOMARKER study design paper is out! In BeyeOMARKER we will screen 700 individuals with plasma p-tau217 at an eye clinic, and further characterize 150 of them with Amyloid & Tau PET, MRI, retinal imaging and cognitive & cortical vision assessment. The implications of Aβ pathology: Only time will tell 🚨 Our scientific commentary is just out in Brain! @EmmaCoomans and I had the privilege to write an editorial on the recent publication "Characterizing brain tau and cognitive decline along the amyloid timeline in Alzheimer’s disease" @Brain1878. Take home message: "The modelling work conducted by Cody et al. suggests that the first decade after amyloid-β onset – before tau has reached the inferior temporal gyrus and before the most pronounced effects on cognition are observed – is a crucial time window for intervention (see Figure)." Check out our new paper on CSF p-tau+ / tau-PET- (discordant) individuals. Our findings suggest that it pays to split "T" from the AT(N) classification into a separate biofluid p-tau "P" and tau-PET "T" category. academic.oup.com/brain/advance-…

Big news!! I've decided to turn down (!) an NIH K99/R00 and instead take a tenure track position at @lunduniversity!! I will be opening my own lab by the end of this year, which will use machine learning and multi-omic and imaging data to study ADRD. 🎉🎉🎉
