@TevinMacharia Wow, Holy Spirit reinforcing this to me ... b/c I was led to give a very similar explanation to a m*sl*m friend last night over dinner -we read that passage together! This naturally came up thru talking abt his relationship with his wife. And then this led to sharing the gospel.

A man who does not know God deeply will struggle to love a woman correctly. I know many men in my generation may not understand this, but the truth still remains: in our time, if you want to truly love a woman, you must first passionately love God. This generation has many ideas about love, relationships, and marriage. Social media has taught men how to impress women, how to chase beauty, how to show affection in public. But very few men are taught the most important foundation of love — loving God first. . Not because he is a bad person, but because the standard of real love cannot come from human strength. It must come from God. The love required in relationships today is not shallow love. It is not emotional excitement. It is not temporary attraction. The kind of woman many men are praying for today — a godly woman, a wise woman, a loyal woman — cannot be sustained by ordinary love. It requires Christ-like love. The Bible says in Ephesians 5:25, "Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her." Think about that for a moment. Christ did not love the church when it was perfect. Christ did not love the church when it was easy. Christ loved the church sacrificially. Christ loved the church patiently. Christ loved the church with forgiveness, with grace, with commitment. Now imagine loving a woman like that. It means loving her when she is not at her best. It means protecting her emotionally and spiritually. It means leading her toward God. It means sacrificing your ego, your pride, and sometimes your comfort for her growth and well-being. This kind of love cannot be learned from movies, culture, or even experience. It must be learned from God. A man who walks with God learns patience. A man who walks with God learns discipline. A man who walks with God learns self-control. A man who walks with God learns how to forgive. These are the very qualities required to sustain a relationship. Without God, many men enter relationships with wounds, pride, lust, insecurity, and confusion. Instead of building the woman, they end up hurting her. Instead of leading, they compete. Instead of protecting, they control. And many relationships collapse not because love was impossible, but because the man had not first allowed God to work on his heart. This is why many men today must pause. Pause the pressure to prove something. Pause the rush to enter relationships. Pause the desire to impress women. Go back to God. Build your prayer life. Build your character. Build your spiritual foundation. Because the truth is this: a woman can feel when a man is spiritually grounded. She can sense stability. She can sense leadership. She can sense peace. But when a man is empty spiritually, relationships become battles of ego, insecurity, and confusion. Men of this generation must understand that loving God is not weakness. It is preparation. God shapes the heart of a man so that when the right woman enters his life, he does not just love her emotionally — he loves her responsibly, spiritually, and sacrificially. This is why before committing to a woman, a man must first deal with his relationship with God. Let God heal your wounds. Let God correct your character. Let God teach you patience. Let God teach you how to lead. Because when a man truly loves God, the way he loves a woman changes completely. He does not see her as a trophy. He does not see her as an object. He sees her as someone entrusted to his care by God. And when that happens, love stops being selfish and becomes sacred. Men of this generation, if you truly want to love a woman well, start by passionately loving God. Because the depth of your love for God will determine the quality of your love for the woman you marry.

The top freezer door would not shut smoothly, and there is no fix for it besides new hinge assembly. Don’t use an impact wrench on stuff like that!!! Needless to say, I told them to take it back. Delivery guys don’t seem to care if that screw stuff up.

Had to RETURN a @Homedepot order for @LGUS fridge. I had requested the door be reversed during install. Delivery guy had the audacity to try and convince me not to. “NOPE.” When they did reverse it, they used power tools resulting in a cross-threaded hinge pin. Ugh!

One of my family members works in a government lab that tests the ocean water for fecal bacteria. There is often fecal bacteria there because of raw sewage being dumped in the water from a neighboring country. They warn US citizens when this occurs so people don’t get sick from it.
