Skip the public pressure and go straight to a formal demand letter. Give them 10 days to refund in full or you file in small claims. You don't need a lawyer for this and the filing fee is usually $30-75. The fact that they offered a refund in writing and then backed out actually makes your case stronger because that's an admission they owe you. Save everything.

updating to say @CodyJethro1 is still making posts about me, then deleting them after people comment he is in the wrong, and refusing to refund or communicate with me. im tired
wild 🔜 TIRED@wilderwildd

@CodyJethro1 messed up on my commission and offered me a refund. he got pissed and took to twitter after i accepted his offer. he now claims to never offer the refund and has since ceased communicating, holding onto my money and the suit itself.

You have all the screenshots you need. Send a formal written demand giving him 14 days to refund the full $250 or you'll file in small claims. If he paid through PayPal or a card, dispute it now. And those DMs where he admits not doing the work? That's a confession. Small claims judges love when the other side has already admitted they owe you.

This is the same guy that scammed me out of like $250. Be wary interacting with this Emico dude he's kinda a scumbag Note the timestamps but I commissioned an animation from him in March and was quoted a timeframe of like 5-8 weeks. This back and forth went on until like October but he just kept giving excuse after excuse of why he couldn't complete or work on the commission. He mentioned not prioritizing his other commissions either and instead spent all his time on twitter. After asking countless times for a refund he kept saying "Oh i'll send something soon dont worry" and he never did. All that happened was I was no longer eligible for buyer protection while watching him work on complex shitposts to engagement farm. If you're going to take commissions then please intend on either finishing them or honoring a refund. It sucks so much to trust someone with something for your project and get radio silence on it for countless months, all while, again, WATCHING him engagement farm shitposts on twitter Please dont give this person a platform Calli, he'll just use it to take advantage of more people

$3K with an empty package and CashApp receipts? That's textbook fraud. File a police report first, then take him to small claims court. You don't need a lawyer for $3K and the filing fee is usually under $100. The screenshots, empty package, and CashApp records are all the evidence you need. Most people fold once they get served because they know they'll lose.

I didn’t have the heart to go public with this a couple months ago because I wanted so badly to believe @wolfescardbreaks hadn’t gone from reputable breaker to scammer within a year. Brian scammed me out of $3000 over the holiday season by sending me an empty package instead of a box with select nfl cosmic packs. The details of the transaction after it all went down were bizarre and warning signs were there, but I thought nothing of it until after I was scammed because he was Brian Wolfe. He came back to me multiple times to add onto the deal, asked for cashapp and Apple Pay only, He had an excuse that the package was tampered with included pictures of all sides of the sealed shipping box he sent me (who does that?). Then he just ghosted me even after I refused to believe he would scam me and offered to split the loss and him to give me half my money back.

Alright you guys want to know who the seller is… it’s @WolfesBreaks He lives about a hour north of me and just last year I met up with him bought a big WVU / Jevon Carter collection for $2,900 cash. Then even more recently I bought two more “grail” Jevon Carter cards for ~$400 I believe. I paid via CashApp and he sent them and everything went well. He then approached me with these cards and asked if I wanted to buy them. Of course I wanted to buy my first Tom Brady Auto, I mean it’s so sick especially with the inscription. Anyways, he has never had PayPal even though I only basically pay PayPal g&s for every single deal but didn’t blink an eye having to split up Venmo / Cashapp payments due to legit doing an in person deal with him & multiple other successful deals. We added a few more cards onto the brady card and he apparently shipped them Feb 5th via FedEx & just a few hours later it got a very weird RTS. (return to sender) Throughout the past month and half he claims he has went down there multiple times to try to recover the package and essentially they can’t find it, I guess? I paid him ~$7,500 for these cards & he has yet to refund me ANY amount nor offer any other resolution. I mentioned I’d be very fair and would do a payment plan or even trade + cash towards the debt or full trade lol. If the package actually did get lost / stolen, it is a very SHITTY situation considering he would be out the cards and I would be out my money. However, it’s part of the business - if you can’t risk shipping a package that you can’t properly reimburse if it gets lost then you shouldn’t be in the business. I understand $7,500 is a large sum of money and it can take some time to recoup funds to send back but that is why I was so open and transparent about figuring out a solution that works for both of us. He has a wife, two young boys and I understand adding a $7,500 “bill” to an already expensive world can be brutal. Especially, if he already spent my money on other stuff. The reason I didn’t make this post sooner is due to the fact he is still occasionally responding to me & he has always been a super nice guy. However, I now feel like i’m being somewhat taken advantage of for my generosity towards this situation. I still have hope Brian will do the right thing & make me whole. (as he told me via text March 5th) If you have any ideas on where these cards could potentially be - lmk asap and we can hopefully find a solution. Drop your thoughts below about the entire situation. This business isn’t for the faint hearted & can absolutely suck sometimes. Thanks for the support ❤️

Do not sell your mother's house. Seriously. Once it's gone, it's gone. And "he'll pay me back" is the oldest lie in the book. If the brother needs money, that's his problem to solve. Your mother left YOU that house for a reason. Put it in a trust if you want to protect it from future pressure. Nobody else's debt should cost you your inheritance.

@StickyGlueTV @sabrinasluvr Fair point. But even with FTC cuts, that complaint creates a paper trail for any future class action or state AG investigation. The real moves that work right now are the bank chargeback and a written demand. Those don't depend on any government agency being fully staffed.

Don't give up on that $250. Those screenshots you posted are gold because they show he deliberately stalled to run out your buyer protection window. That pattern of delay is actually evidence of intent, not just bad time management. You can send a formal written demand giving him 14 days to refund, then file in small claims court in his jurisdiction. $250 is well within the limit everywhere and you don't need a lawyer. Filing usually costs under $50 and the court can also award you that back. His public admission of not prioritizing commissions while posting on Twitter helps your case.

Legally there is zero obligation here. Your inherited property has nothing to do with your girlfriend's brother's debt. If you ever do loan money to anyone, at minimum get a signed promissory note with a repayment schedule. But never sell a paid-off asset to fund someone else's debt.

100%. Everyone should file their own FTC complaint at reportfraud.ftc.gov individually. Enough complaints against the same company triggers a pattern investigation. Each person should also file a chargeback with their bank. When chargebacks pile up, payment processors drop the company entirely.

Using someone's image without consent to sell a paid workshop is a right of publicity violation. Send a formal demand letter for the revenue she made off your likeness. If she ignores it, small claims court is an option. If the image is still up anywhere online, a DMCA takedown can force platforms to remove it

This was .@DominaColette who owes me money for nonconsensual use of my image for profit. Her ‘workshop’ has gone through a rebrand to cover up her history of grooming and scamming. She is a fraud and a danger to the community.
Mistress Max@mistrixmax

Recently I had my content used to promote a workshop and despite requesting its removal it stayed up until the sale of the workshop was finished. So if you saw my image being used to sell a high ticket workshop for baby d0mmes, just know that I did not consent to that.

Empty package through USPS is federal mail fraud. File with the Postal Inspection Service at uspis.gov and a police report in his jurisdiction. CashApp and Apple Pay have no buyer protection but a fraud report creates a paper trail for small claims court and helps other victims

My friend sat on a $2,800 unpaid invoice for 6 months because she didn't want to "make it weird." Finally sent a demand letter. Got paid in 11 days. Six months of stress over something that took 20 minutes to fix. Stop being polite with people who owe you money.

A demand letter costs $49. A lawyer costs $300/hour. Small claims court costs $30-75 to file. Most debts settle before it even gets to court. The system is designed for regular people to use it, they just don't teach you that.

The unboxing video is the entire case right there. File a chargeback with your bank immediately, that's step one. Banks take these seriously especially with video proof. If Amazon still won't budge after that, consumer court filing in India costs almost nothing and Amazon will have to send a rep to defend it. They usually settle before it gets that far because the legal costs aren't worth $3,200 to them.

I got robbed by .@kalshi and ex-@cluely team for $100k Here's exactly what happened with receipts I ended up doing marketing for them via .@instinct_inc and the goal was simple: Post content on faceless pages, get paid per view at the agreed RPM. Listen to the guidelines and create the content So I went to work and delivered over 180 million views (majority coming from very viral videos) At the agreed rate of the campaign, that's over $100,000 owed Then the ghosting started .@elamri wouldn’t respond to my DMS for days after i told him about the payout Then suddenly mass rejections start coming through Videos that had been live for weeks generating millions of views, content that was performing exactly as intended, all rejected The reason (according to the kalshi marketing team): “We don’t approve gooner content” What were they referring to though? My video of one of the top 20 sportswomen in the world was deemed as “NSFW” by them and therefore not approved DESPITE the video having 5M+ views and directly promoting them I have 20+ screenshots of conversations of them trying to explain why and Dris refusing to pay me Dris’ own words: "they ideally just want sports content / memes (which was later direction)" Read that again. "LATER DIRECTION" ASIDE from not paying me for my content and calling it “gooner content” They're literally admitting the direction came after I'd already delivered After the views were already counted. After they realized how much they'd owe me Videos with female athletes apparently don't count as sports to them I asked Dris directly "so by this logic female sports doesn't exist?" His response: “tried mentioning this earlier will try to see if sent" It's been 4 weeks of ghosting now I’ve not been paid anything after generating 200M views I've tried handling this privately but it’s genuinely getting to a point Everyone I mentioned is at fault here because I've been ignored, ghosted, and had 100 excuses made on why I couldn't get paid To the Instinct and the Kalshi team: you know what you owe. It’s VERY scummy of you to think you can get away not paying marketers what you owe them Will never be doing business with these guys again

@HimionaMorore @shelbygraces Appreciate the insider perspective. Most people don't realize how much leverage a chargeback gives them. Companies will fight a $400 complaint for months but fold instantly when their payment processor flags them. Thanks for confirming 🙏

@Collectnow_ @shelbygraces These are the correct steps. I work for a bank, and doing this if they do not do the right thing is best. A chargeback can be bad for a company, as it can lead to banks no longer working with them if it happens to often.

Fun fact most people don't know. You can request an itemized bill from any hospital and watch the total drop dramatically. Hospitals routinely inflate charges knowing most patients won't question it. Also under the No Surprises Act you can dispute any out-of-network charges you weren't told about in advance. Nobody should just accept a bill like this at face value.

Yeah that's still the tradeoff honestly. The clerk mediation is faster but sometimes lowballs you, and going before a judge can take months depending on how backed up the court is. NYC courts especially are notorious for that. But for a case with camera footage like this one the wait is usually worth it since the outcome is pretty much guaranteed.
