Americans voted for Trump because they wanted to take a wrecking ball to the status quo. We need to respect that, but we also need to be clear: Trump has no plan for a better system on the other side, where workers are better paid, have greater retirement security, and pay lower prices. There WILL – of course – be massive tax cuts for the corporations who are raising our prices and sending our jobs overseas. Where is the wrecking ball for them? Democrats need our own vision for what we’re going to break – starting with corporate interests’ stranglehold over the country that makes it impossible for hard work to pay off. We have to show Americans that we have the better vision for what could replace it. We don’t want to wreck the country – we want to fix it.
