Incidentally Brenda made a post a while ago requesting some help and we did receive it and we thank you now. Please keep in mind that when the book goes on sale tonight at midnight Eastern standard Time however if you live for example in California like Colleen @ColleenZickgraf or Nancy @nancyjane74 in Washington you don't have to wait till midnight because it will be available your time at 9:00. Brenda and I are asking for you to please consider reposting this as Robert is no longer able to promote this book while in the hospital. He is still under surgery and you can see an update from earlier. The book will be released Wednesday two days from now. A true remarkable story from the dedication page to the last word of the book where you will be pulled in and never let go. Thank you Russell and Brenda. Today's excerpt: Joan had nowhere to go. It was winter and there were warming centers where the homeless could spend a few hours but never were allowed to have the impression that they could stay there permanently. Kelly felt she was enabling her sister so she stopped supplying the funds for Joan’s cell phone. Slowly but surely Joan was being cut off from communication in relationship to the human race.

@RHughesPhD76721 He just slays me. How someone going through as much as he is and has continues to come up with the one liners, I’ll never know. He has so many gifts he shares with the world, but his humor is one of my many favorites.

Russell here. You guys are going to love this. I can't stop laughing as if morning wasn't bad enough with my previous post. So Robert has his phone now and he got a text message. I did not see it at first. All I know is he paged for the nurse the second he got the text. (And if you look at the screenshot this was this morning and let's just say that has been updated quite a few times with further texts and is no longer the amount you see). So the nurse buzzes and asks "how can I help you" and he says "I need a nurse to come in here right now" and she said "do you need anything" and Robert said something nobody would ever expect. He said one word. “Activity.” She said “what” like she didn't hear him correctly and you can't blame her. I myself was like what the hell are you talking about and I'm wondering if it was the medication. So the nurse came in and Robert said, “I need to see some activity because I'm being charged for activity.” It turns out the hospital sent him adjusted charges based on recent activity. 😂 😂 😂 I am dying. He hasn't been discharged and he is up to four different text messages from mychart with every charge coming in. He said to the nurse “I need you to do some calisthenics, or perform a scavenger hunt and locate Valium, or paint these drab walls because I am immobilized. I am not able to move. If I'm being charged for activity then I need to witness first hand some activity.” Only Robert. The nurse hates him. She huffed out of here! 😂

@RHughesPhD76721 Prayers for Robert’s recovery. I can only imagine his frustration. My prayers for you and Brenda as well. I have no other words.

Russell here with an update. I just spoke with Dr Jared who is in contact with doctors in Michigan. Robert has sustained a muscle tear. This is not good news. We do not know yet what the course of action will be. Surgery is a possibility but nothing definitive yet. Robert has been immobilized and Jared says a minimum is likely for a two day stay due to the nature of the recent surgery. Jared says it's going to be a while before Robert will be able to put weight bearing pressure on his legs for standing up. He had been making great progress. Right now Robert is asleep. I am at a loss of words other than just giving this information. I can't express myself right now. Neither can Brenda. I'll give you all info as we receive it. Good night.

Russell here. Unfortunately I have unpleasant news. I received a call a while ago from a hospital nurse as I'm Robert's emergency contact. Robert evidently lost his footing and he fell. He injured himself and he is two months post sarcoma surgery. This is a setback but we don't know to what extent. Details are sketchy. He does not have his phone with him. However I was able to speak to him as a nurse put him on a phone and I have to tell you for the first time in 40 years I heard Robert inconsolable. Evidently this is going to be a setback in his progress and he is losing it and devastated. I will update you when I know more. Brenda and I are beside ourselves. Sometimes the worst part is waiting for clarity. 🙏 (Please no medical advice or horror stories). Thanks.

Declan. Hi there. You never knew me. You never heard of me. I learned about you earlier this year from my friend Colleen. I've had a connection with you however through prayer and in the undeniable bonding through the unity of the Holy Spirit which gathers all together. And I was privileged to behold photos of you and the one with your grandfather which tugged my heart. My emotions lined with your beautiful wonderous energy. I prayed to the angels to watch over you in your final weeks. And now you're an angel. Let's face it you were an angel while you were here and now you have come to full fruition in heaven. I feel guilty and ashamed because sometimes I complain about making toast and I put it in my toaster and forget about it and by the time the alarm goes off it's burnt and I get upset. I have curtains in my home that were not hung properly and the ones on the right fall slightly lower than the left and nobody would know that except me but I get irritated which is silly and not necessary. And here you were living your best life. You and I both have the experience of being diagnosed with cancer. But I'm the one that has acted like a child. And you're the one who advanced in maturity at such a young age biologically. I want to promise you that I won't give a damn about my curtains anymore and if I go to a restaurant and they burn my food I will be kind about it rather than obnoxious. When I meet you I will thank you for enabling me to grow up while I'm still on this earthly journey. I will never understand how this can happen to someone so young with much promise. But we are not really promised tomorrow are we. Only connected memory. ❤️

I looked at him and I said, "I didn't know you could smile. You should do it more often, it gives you a friendly face." And that little bastard said, " I didn't know you could give a compliment." The nerve. I said, "I give compliments all the time. Ryan Gosling is the greatest actor of this generation. There is your damn compliment!" Robert and Russell here. Or as one particular person prefers Russell and Robert here. We're going to tell you a story and as we tell it you can figure out which voice is who's. First of all I am so angry at this man and he has seen his last day of ever having the privilege to be in my amazing company and being in my company is a privilege. Robert always thinks he's right and he made an ass out of himself today. Russell has never made a mistake. He is perfect, he is the chosen one, he is the coming of the second Messiah or however the hell that word play works. We stopped to stay at a hotel and then tomorrow we will end up in Michigan. Russell pulled up in front of the hotel. Robert spent three hours on his phone googling every possible hotel in Rochester, New York scrutinizing all of them, even looking for one that has a gym and a pool, though his ass is banged up and his leg immobilized. I was doing that for Russell's sake because he has cellulite. I was driving along and I found the hotel and I pulled up and Robert started screaming it's not this one it's in the next block. I said no Robert this is it. Our hotel began with an address in the 400s. Robert said we are at 565. The tin house you are paying for is in the next block and I said we are not at 565 we are at our hotel. Robert insisted we were at 565 and I said to him Robert look at the damn hotel window. Look at the 565 in big letters and look below it and you will see seven other numbers. I will never speak to Russell again. When I realized the 565 was associated with a hotel restaurant phone number and that the 565 is the area code for Rochester New York I knew my life will be affected forever. He will not let me live this down and I think that's cruel. He thinks I'm cruel because I wont let him live it down but hell he won't let me live. He's threatening to kill me. In his words “in due time,” because right now he's depending on me to get him home. Just remember folks 565 is the area code of Rochester New York. But what I want you to remember more than anything is that we all make mistakes, even Russell, and I am going to teach him the art of forgiveness. I forgive you Russell. Robert these people can read your words but they can't see that your fingers are crossed! Who the hell cares.

There are eight in attendance. The menu is strawberry appletinis, bruschetta, spring salad, raspberry vinaigrette, salmon, brown rice, and creme brulee for dessert. Everyone raves. Delicious. I could probably make an appearance because I have to be at Wang theatre at 8:00 as that's when the curtain goes up for Wicked and you can't be late because if you show up after the overture the bitch usher won't seat you. They did that to me when I was late for Miss Saigon. I cussed her ass out." “I would love too. We are all still talking about the last one when Theodore got so worked up about the renaming of the Kennedy Center that he fell off the balcony. How is he by the way?” "I don't want to insult you Robert but would you mind if I brought my own meal? I can discreetly bring it in a little hefty plastic wrap because I only eat vegan and I know you love your meat and potatoes." "Well I saw the invitation Robert and I really thank you for your lovely gesture however I was wondering if you think we could move it to Friday night instead of Saturday night because I'm getting together with some guy that I met at the gym and it's going to be the first time that we hook up.” "I hate your dinner parties, Robert. It's nothing but Russell telling stories that I have only heard a thousand times already." Robert, Russell and Brenda end up having dinner together. Only them. And Russell is telling a story about something he and Robert did as if Robert was never there. Brenda is on the dance floor near the warning sign that says The Hostess Will Seat You. Brenda is yelling at the DJ to play her song Bittersweet Symphony by Verve.. There is no dance floor. And there is no DJ. 😂

Russell here. Update. Good news and mediocre news. Good news first. Robert is going home. His cheeks are no longer the size of a chipmunk which according to Robert "is an endurance of the limitations for hell for someone who has always been a sex symbol." He can breathe easier. His ear is not hurting him at all. We are still waiting on biopsy results for the leg. His vision is better yet only slightly blurry. The mediocre news. He is ready to throw in the sponge. Not the towel but the sponge because in his words his towels keep coming up missing. He now has pink eye in the right eye. Oh my God he is so mad. Evidently this is something that is more common than I ever knew with sinus. A social worker is arranging medical transportation to get him home because he is contagious with his eye and they're making necessary precautions and they don't want him to travel with a friend or companion. He actually said companion and I said you've never had a companion and he said, "Russell I swear to God you will regret that as soon as I am no longer an invalid you will regret that." Anyhow he does need some help. He has three medical appointments and those will be scheduled I believe after the infection clears up which now include an opthamologist and he is not allowed to drive until given medical clearance. He will be using a walker for a while and he has one that he has to take out of storage that has been there ever since he got over the broken foot that has nothing to do with the amputation that has absolutely not one fucking thing to do with any cape cod jellyfish and I'm not going to listen to that anymore. Haha. He also has to do a salene rinse in both of his nostrils four times a day. He says he doesn't need much but I'm going to ask you guys if we could try to raise $200 or $300 to help with travel cost and co-pays and to have a few meals delivered because standing up is going to be difficult for him to cook for a while. At least that's what I'm thinking. I know he will need a minimum of $100 that's a conservative guess. I can help with whatever he can't get. And dear God in heaven don't forget that damn book goes on sale at midnight tonight!!! If that book does not sell well it will be my fault because as he has said in his words through text, "my impending death will rejoice if saturated with positive sales results as you and my followers help me with marketing as I can barely breathe and barely walk and barely see and barely touch and barely feel and barely move and barely remember what happened 5 minutes ago." Russell here. Important. It has been a hell of a week for Robert and he will be fine. A couple days ago he discovered a rock hard lump on his leg and I read the post that many of you read that he made at 3 this morning. He got out of bed at 4 and his left leg shot up a spasm and he fell and he hit his head on his nightstand and he has a concussion and he is in the ER. In addition to this he has spent many hours this week sending out a massive amount of emails regarding his new book that is coming out while dealing with a sinus infection that a doctor diagnosed this past Tuesday. He is on amoxicillin. On Thursday he was feeling so much better but then it came back Saturday with a vengeance and he said he looks like a chipmunk because his left side of his face is swollen under his eyes all the way back to his left ear. About 10 or 12 days ago one of his best friends in Michigan, a guy named Sam, lost his father. Sam's dad took his life. Sam called Robert immediately and a friend took Robert to Sam's home to get him through the shock. Robert met Sam about a year and a half ago and they had become very close and Robert has been his spiritual advisor. They discuss God and scripture regularly. It has been an interesting friendship because Sam is Mormon and they both have been learning from each other. Sam went to San Antonio for his dad's funeral and returned and has spent a considerable amount of time with Robert on two separate afternoons this past week. On Wednesday there was an outbreak of tornadoes in Southeast Michigan shortly after midnight including Ann Arbor now considered a state of emergency. A business across the street from Robert lost their roof. Around 2 in the morning the sirens were going off and they didn't stop and this caused many of the people in Robert’s building who have dementia screaming and it's all they have talked about ever since. They lost their electricity as did most of the residents in Ypsilanti but if I recall what he said correctly it was restored by Wednesday night. Bridges and main roads have been closed due to flooding. You all may remember Kathy Falls the mother of Mariah the little girl who had cancer. The Falls family has been hit with flooding near Clinton River in Utica Michigan a suburb of Detroit. Robert does not take on the problems of other people making them his own but his heart is huge and I have never seen him as somebody who tries to fix others because he knows he can't, he has taught me that. But when he loves somebody who suffers he suffers also. I will make a post this evening. He is simply exhausted. But he insists he will not have it any other way. He never wants to stop being there for his friends. I spoke to him a couple of hours ago briefly and asked if I could make this post. When you realize this is the back story of this past week and yet he has still made inspirational posts I think it makes them all the more profound. Of course I am biased.
