Weirdly enough this is one of the times where I think IAF is actually right. India hasn’t made 5th gen yet and China is testing J-36 and J-XX. Taking into account future threats, this is actually a very sensible decision for future. Specially with Adaptive Cycle Engines tech

This appears to be a UCAV which is even bigger than N-Tejas it has foldable wings for Naval operation
And by looking at the engine it seems that it is being powered by two engines which are almost the same size as F404 in Tejas
This will help Navy combat against Chinese 5th Gen fighters
The question remains whether it will be able to take off from STOBAR carriers or it will require EMALS

@Rouwmut @alpha_defense These are ultralight aluminium engines which we don't make. Some of them (like Israeli harpy) use rotary or wankel engines. Though once we start making them it won't be too difficult to scale.

The hype around Shahed-type loitering munitions misses the real point. The technology isn’t revolutionary many companies can build a prototype; at least 8 already have. The real question is the economics of war: what is the cost per unit? If it runs into tens of lakhs, it defeats the purpose. Mass warfare needs cheap, expendable systems, not sophisticated drones.

People don't realize how insane this is. Norway isn't some emerging EV market where buyers have limited choices. 96% of cars sold there are electric. 900+ EV models compete. Chinese brands are surging and every major OEM is throwing their best stuff at this market.
Norway is basically what every EV market will eventually look like, and Tesla is winning there against the full roster.
