Subject: Shib CoOp Community Update: Winding Down Operations & Refunding Founders Dear ShibCoOp Community, We are immensely grateful for your unwavering support, passion, & commitment which have made this community one of the most vibrant in web3. Your energy has fueled our mission, and we’ve strived to honor it with transparency and utmost integrity for 3+ years. Our Achievements: ✅ 1st project to accept SHIB payments on Shibarium. (ColonelCoup Chikens) ✅ Built Launchpad for numerous respected SHIB OG community projects. ✅ Only project where community created the art & received the majority of mint fees (ColonelCoup)., ✅Built PLOT tool to optimize SHIB: The MV lands market. ✅Viral mascot (Da'Chikens on Tenor with over 500K shares ✅1st Big Burn on Shibarium L2 Chain (97M) which led to deep discussion on burning "in the contract" vs on the ETH chain. ✅Ran multiple spaces to promote community projects. Our Vision & Challenges: Shib CoOp was built to support Shib:TheMV with tools like PLOT and Maps.& Long term plans to help build out & promote MV projects; however, delays in Metaverse development & unclear timelines have hindered our progress. The departure of our volunteer developers & limited funding—solely from the Founders Collection and Launchpad—further strained our ability to continue operations. Despite these challenges, we’ve prioritized utility over profit, with no token raise & no team member compensation except to our original developer. Our core team volunteered thousands of hours of time & significant personal resources, driven by our ‘WeNotMe’ ethos. Decision to Wind Down: After careful consideration, we’ve decided to wind down ShibCoOp operations due to insufficient funds for full-time development & unsustainable reliance on community developers & MV future timeline. True to ‘WeNotMe,’ we will refund all Founders minting costs (including BOGOs) at 16 $BONE each and all paid PET token mints. This adds on to the generous @theLTDtoken token donation which we chose to airdrop gift to Founders holders (we even excluded core team in the airdrop). Refund Instructions: NFTS must be in your wallet. IF YOUR FOUNDERS NFTS ARE LISTED ON MANTRA, PLEASE REMOVE LISTING SO THE REFUND WILL GO TO YOUR WALLET. Refunds are expected to process later this week to give users time to delist from Mantra marketplace.
