🚨WATCH: An Oregon dad is demanding transparency after a male student leader was allegedly present while female middle schoolers showered during an "outdoor school" program. Zach Hillegas told the Estacada School District's school board on Wednesday his daughter recently attended the program. A male student leader referred to as "Pluto" was assigned to a girls' cabin and was present "during an intimate hygiene activity without proper adult supervision," according to the father. The student leader was removed from leading the girls' cabin after female students raised concerns, Hillegas said. "I ask the board to direct the immediate release of the full investigation, timeline and records redacted only as required by law," Hillegas told the board. "Our daughters trusted us to keep them safe. We trusted the district."

Oregon ranks 47th in education and dead last (50th) in 4th-grade reading and math — that’s a full-blown emergency. On Day 1, I will declare a state of emergency for our schools. Mississippi went from 47th to 1st in reading simply by getting back to the science of reading and phonics. We can do the same here. My entire family are educators; this is personal. Our kids deserve world-class schools, not excuses.

Dudley is tepid and does not address corruption directly which is the major problem in Oregon. He is basically a Ted Wheeler or Keith Wilson for the whole state. He will try to ‘compromise’ with the unions and get steamrolled. It’s so sad watching him build support.

Multnomah county is biased against anyone who isn’t Antifa, homeless, or liberal. What can I do in this situation? Meanwhile, just finding out they dropped a case against a woman named Leah Botham Lee who was charged with menacing for punching a resident of the south waterfront in the face. On camera documented arrested for it she gets her charges dropped today because the judge says that charge is unconstitutional. 🤦♂️

Austin tried to pass rent control, but the state didn’t allow it. Instead, we allowed developers to build. Now it’s cheaper to rent in Austin as a % of income than in decades. Move to states and cities that build things instead of having virtue signaling policies that don’t help

@ColonelLudlow @NickKristof Like I said, I went to Catholic schools k-12 and had shorter years but we learned more than kids in most public schools bc the time was used better.
We also learned that you shouldn’t twist facts or lie to fit your own preconceived biases - something no one taught you it seems.

I saw my own hs principal tell parents of a prospective student to leave Open House bc they thought they were in a position to make demands.
They learned quickly that they weren’t.

Also—learn the difference between instructional hours vs school days. And if you care about education you will be appalled how the union defines “instructional hours”.
