Here’s some insight on what ‘28 3B/RHP @anthuaranga22 (16U Toronto Blue Jays Scout Team) and I got to work on early this spring (mound wise) before making a 2 mph jump in velo His aptitude, talent, work ethic, and athleticism are the main culprits for the velo jump. But helps to have good baseball minds in your corner as well. #TheBrand

‘28 SS @aiden_watts3 16U Nation 6’0 182. Already barreling 95+ inner half FB’s vs 1st Rd arms w/ ease. He’s able to barrel plus MLB FB velo due to rare timing in all 3 phases, standout readiness, pro quality swing mechanics & rare twitch. His feel to simultaneously load hands inward (keeps him compact+inside ⚾️) and maintain optimal fluidity in & out of launch allow him to build momentum in the barrel while promoting tight/efficient turns. His textbook launch position and ability to adduct & supinate creates an ideal swing path for loft. Rangy defender at SS w/ very smooth hands. Also one of top QB’s 🏈 in state for class. Easy D1 follow & future draft prospect.

#Bearcats ‘26 CF @JamirJohnson42 18U National Shows off his gifts to launch quickly in tight space & adjustability (front arm shrink, steepen top hand) to create room for barrel as he sends this low & in 87.6 mph FB 400+ ft to dead center w/ flick of wrists. Hands setup close to hitting zone and barrel pre set near launch lends him early readiness vs velo. Add in the short+efficient path & plus twitch, this is a player who isn’t going to be beat by velo even when quick pitched. Pitch recognition (spit on CB, foul CB HR) put him in position to get this FB.
