⚠️ On Wednesday, April 1, at approx. 10:55 a.m., our officers stopped a vehicle travelling 141 km/h in a 90 km/h zone on westbound 16 Avenue at 52 Street N.E.
The driver had a Class 7 licence (learners) & was operating the vehicle without a Class 5 driver in the vehicle, which is required by law. The driver was issued tickets for speeding & violating Gradated Driver’s Licence conditions.
‼️ Excessive speed combined with inexperience significantly increases the risk of serious collisions. GDL rules are in place to help new drivers build skills safely.
