Thanks to inspiration from the CEO of @CrackerBarrel and my friend @DrunkRepub , I’m seeking investors to start an exciting new venture: “Illegally Squatting In An Abandoned Warehouse With Your Junkie Friends Style Magazine.” Pls inquire for levels starting at $1 milly or so.

@Crime_Penguin I will Stan for the tri-level until the day I die. It’s a brilliant and versatile layout.

Quite possibly the most accurate summation of the psychological phenomenon of aging ever. In your own mind YOU don’t change, but everything around you changes so much you just become more and more out of sorts with your surroundings.
Super 70s Sports@Super70sSports

I used to wonder how old people could be so chill about dying but I’ve lived long enough now I think I’m starting to get it. Everything just gets progressively weirder and dumber until you’re finally like “Ok, Jesus, take me home before it gets even stupider.”

Wild experience with this at the USPS tonight. Younger white lady working as the manager. I asked her a question and she answered in relatively normal fashion. Then, as she went back to say something to an employee went into full blown Ebonics. I mean “deyz aksing me…” etc. It was like I was in a German post office and the manager thankfully was able to answer my question in English, but went back to native tongue as soon as she didn’t have to speak with a foreigner. It just highlighted for me the fact that we are being pushed father and father into the USA basically being two different societies existing within each other.
Disaffected@DisaffectedPod

Bring back the standard adult American accent. In the past 20 years all standards went away. Shakeeta on the national news talks about "axing querstions." AmberCaitlyneLeighLee speaks in uptalk? and with vocal fry? Millennial men on TV, sort of you, you know, like sort of? Speak. Like. Professional. Adults.

@crazy_lekiwi @thwacknicklaus Yeah you know that’s what I thought! I couldn’t find it straight up online (as every search engine sucks now) so I asked AI and it said MP33s 🤷‍♂️ I SWORE he used the Apex Edge Pros like these—

@CommissionerPW @thwacknicklaus I think your AI had a mektdown. Mr Furyk famously won the 2003 US Open playing Hogan Apex Plus Forged Cavity Back irons.....I've got a set of them in the garage.

The greatest single iron ever created: The Mizuno MP33 4 iron. Come at me bro. If you’d like to present a counterargument, please include photos. Thank you for your attention to this matter!

I’m not a “great ball striker” as I’m too inconsistent to be considered as such. But I can tell you that I very quickly adapted to using these (and other Hogan blades I play) and I’m shooting better than ever. Your eye sharpens over the ball with them. After not playing for 12 years because of kids I tried “game improvement” irons on recommendation. But they suck. THESE are game improvers.

@ThomBrady5 Super glad to know this now after years of using the phrase! I ended up with two legal degrees, so not all my education was poor. But neither school ever bothered to inform as to the origin of this ubiquitous legal phrase. 🤷‍♂️ Thanks for filling the void!

@CommissionerPW “How did you go bankrupt?” Bill asked. “Two ways,” Mike said. “Gradually and then suddenly.” “What brought it on?” “Friends,” said Mike. “I had a lot of friends. False friends. Then I had creditors, too. Probably had more creditors than anybody in England.”

@ThomBrady5’s reference to an old bankruptcy axiom (you go bankrupt slowly then all at once) triggers the thought in my head that Trump is really acting as a bankruptcy trustee. The country’s bankrupt. We can’t possibly pay all of our debts. So, he’s deciding who gets priority. But most importantly, it’s like he’s seizing control of a bankrupt business. He’s thrown out old management who ran it into the ground. He’s in the process of installing new management that will take the business forward after he takes care of all the creditors. As is also the case when a trustee takes over a bankrupt business, he’s also collecting on old debts that the business is owed. Hence goodbye deep state.
Fugitive Caesar@ThomBrady5

this is much bigger than people are realizing; Trump is seizing the Congressional power of the purse, and the power to control the federal budget. "Slowly, then all at once."

@ThomBrady5 As I say often to my children, I’m not dumb. I was just poorly educated.

@EliNXT @thwacknicklaus By the way they were already cut down when I bought them. I didn’t desecrate any gems!

@EliNXT @thwacknicklaus I have two sets of these, one cut down for my nine-year old. I almost picked these but went with the ‘99s. Really though, these were probably the greatest truly Ben Hogan irons ever. The final ones before Ben no longer had total control.

@thwacknicklaus Serious question, did anyone win a major playing the MP33’s? I’m a Wilson fan myself.

@PhillinDallas @thwacknicklaus The fact is they were revolutionary, EXTREMELY popular (think of how many knock off versions you see) and are still extremely playable. I saw Mark O’ Meara just said in an interview that he would still play the BeCu versions if they were legal.
