"Imperial Liberation" myths used to be common. Austrians used to be taught they "liberated Budapest from the Turks" in 1686. In reality they burned Buda to the ground & then occupied Hungary. For some reason the Russian myths of imperial liberation persist, rebranded by Marxists.

@Communism_CEO @osc_gala @FugitiveDuck45 @The_Davos_Man Those are not low casualty ratios, those are catastrophic. This means that among the units actually engaged in combat (usually one batalion per regiment that got rotated) the losses did often reach the 50% mark, but extrapolating that to uncommitted forces is propaganda. 2. yes

-There was a famine in Ukraine in 1946 -Homeless people were rounded up and sent to lunatic asylums -compare your graph of life expectancy in Russia with graphs of life expectancy in Western countries
CEO of Communism 🇵🇸🇸🇩🇾🇪🇧🇫🇰🇵🇨🇺@Communism_CEO

@SpaghettiKozak @The_Davos_Man - after WW2, there was no hunger in the USSR (prior to 1991) - homelessness was basically non-existent (would be nice if you used some statistics) - also, even granting you everything you said, you still haven’t addressed the graphs

@Communism_CEO @SpaghettiKozak @The_Davos_Man Much steeper? USSR goes from ~42 in 1939 to ~68 in 1975 and stagnates. Japan goes from ~48 in 1939 to ~73 in 1975 and rises to ~78 by 1990 while the USSR is still under 70. What are you talking about?

Freedom of religion. Freedom of Speech. Freedom of association. Separation of Powers. Pluralism. Government legitimacy derived from public sovereignty. Rule of Law. Independent judiciary. Individual rights. Liberal Democracy. You know. All the stuff the commies and nazis hate.

@The_Davos_Man What exactly are those "shared values" currently anyway?

@Communism_CEO @FugitiveDuck45 @The_Davos_Man So you're saying that the Germans lied about "soviet human waves" when writing their reports? Where is the evidence that someone told the Germans to deliberately write false information in their combat reports? Eh?

Poland had an underground that included a government with subdivisions that provided services from underground schools to underground hospitals. The narrative that Poland needed to be saved from itself after WW2, is a Stalinist lie.
CEO of Communism 🇵🇸🇸🇩🇾🇪🇧🇫🇰🇵🇨🇺@Communism_CEO

@Pan_Kocur @The_Davos_Man Poland was collapsing. Either the Red Army enters and saves part of Poland from German occupation or they sit idly by and lets all of fall like the British and French (also lengthening their border with the Nazis).

@Communism_CEO @Pan_Kocur @The_Davos_Man Meanwhile, in the real world, the Communists promised their Nazi allies that they would defend them against Polish propaganda. Secret annex to the Nazi-Soviet Treaty of Friendship and Borders. Yep In an official pact, the communists call the Nazis as friends.

Soviet troops were in constant contact with the Wehrmacht The USSR supplied the Germans with oil, grain, and rare metals. Stalin effectively helped the Germans survive the British naval blockade At least three joint conferences were held between the Gestapo and the NKVD (Brest, Przemyśl, Zakopane – 1939/1940) Prisoners of war and political prisoners were exchanged. The NKVD handed over to the Germans German communists and Jews who had fled to the USSR, while the Gestapo handed over Soviet citizens Intelligence information about the Polish resistance movement and the Polish diaspora was exchanged

@Communism_CEO @FugitiveDuck45 @The_Davos_Man Operation Tempest, which Warsaw was part of, was "general resistance". Soviet-controlled radio stations encouraged Warsaw to rise. The goal was liberation of Warsaw, to forestall occupation by the imperialist USSR. That imperial conquest was more important than beating nazis.

@Communism_CEO @FugitiveDuck45 @The_Davos_Man This means that the Germans had enough time to falsify all reports in the combat diaries of their divisions to deliberately create a false image of the human waves of the Red Army. Typical commie twisted logic.

Casual reminder that Soviets literally started the WW2 with Hitler by agreeing to attack Poland in 1939, and supplying 3rd Reich war machine with raw materials, fuel, and grain. Only when this alliance blew straight into their faces in 1941 Soviets started to fight Nazis. Both before and during "saving us from Nazis" Soviets were murdering anyone who could pose a threat to their occupiation - starting from Katyn. Occupation that lasted for the next 50 years, was basically an organised robbery, and ended up with a nation-wide poverty. 👋
