Sometimes I’m beset upon by autistic fixations on random sound bites or bits I pick up from memories of movies I’ve watched. For the past three weeks I’ve been hearing “Mistah Jimmy” from John Malkovich’s character in Deepwater Horizon in my head, and walking around my home saying it too. This week, it’s Carmelo from Margin Call, just saying “It’s done” in a stern voice any time anything happens for any reason. That one is especially autistic because when you say it around people it’s not a joke whatsoever, there’s absolutely nothing there to even call it a reference except maybe a slight change in decibel. The key to all of these is they have to be so innocuous and insignificant to any frame of reference that even fixating on them is itself an absurdity. This makes it even funnier, building up a self referential humor dependent on repetition akin to the Sneed meme being forced into canonization on /tv/ back in 2017. I’ve never told anyone about this before, and very very few people have ever witnessed me saying it out loud. But roughly every 3-6 weeks one repetitive soundbite replaces the last one in my head and it’s been happening since I was 12.

There are illegals who drive around without plates, junkies shooting up on the street, both with impunity. If I were to park in a commercial zone or have a beer in the park, I would be fined. I am compliant, I have a lot to lose. They know I’ll pay, not get violent. I’d be a lot happier to pay if those former groups were dealt with.
