@befuddledconfid @Spark898 @DreadWeyYuSec Please! Keep the brainrot away from me. I'll tell you all the secrets! I can feel my IQ dropping just from proximity! 🫠
English

@Spark898 @DreadWeyYuSec I don’t blame the CIA for everything because that’s dumb, but this looks like something they’d use for enhanced interrogation.
English

Im not unmuting this but it looks like a boxxy impersonation

@Spark898 Amateurs. Trying to make Arma 3 fake footage on a machine that can't handle all of thr CIWS at the same time. 🤣

@VortexVisionX @HurricaneIsaac Not to mention they need to fix Alert Ready setting off the Emergency Alert for 120km south of us thanks to cell phone towers being configured wrong first. Polygons aren't going to give us any less alerts when you've only got one tower for 80km radius around an event.
English

@HurricaneIsaac Yes, but they usually look outside, if it’s clear, they continue on watch to make sure no storms appear and if the sky is dark or stormy they take precautions and get to shelter
English

@MikeTheNavyGuy1 They stand ready to chase down anyone online who speaks ill of him? 🤦♂️

@MookieMich @AeidenGtfo @writcertiorari We don't pay dues to NATO. That's not a thing. So your $160B number is propoganda from the US that wants people to buy more of their defence products. We agreed to pay 2% of our GDP towards defence which we're now exceeding as of last year.
English

@Computim @AeidenGtfo @writcertiorari It’s also why Canada is so poor it hasn’t paid $160 billion of what was promised to NATO. Canada’s word to the rest of the world is becoming meaningless.
English

Canadian travel to Europe has gone up, and a Euro is even more expensive than a US dollar. Your diagnosis is wrong.
Shane Wenzel@ShaneWenzel
Come on, it’s the dollar, full stop. Canadians aren’t boycotting Florida over tariff talk, they’re staying home because the loonie’s been gutted by a decade of bad fiscal management. Blaming Trump feels good. Blaming Ottawa’s spending and productivity record would actually be honest. @JeffreyLuscombe
English

@MookieMich @AeidenGtfo @writcertiorari That's only 31% down from 2013's peak when oil was insanely high. Back in 1996 it was 60 cents, so if you want to keep moving the goal posts we're technically up 18.4% 🤷♂️
English

@AeidenGtfo @Computim @writcertiorari It was actually 2013. Since then the Canadian dollar is down 30-40% in value.
English

@MookieMich @writcertiorari Uhhh it's dropped like 5 cents in the last 3 years (3-5%) and most of that is due to the volatility of oil prices. Don't believe everything you read on the internet.

English

@writcertiorari Huh? The Canadian dollar has dropped more than 40% in value compared to the US dollar 🤣
English

Interesting couplet up by Winnipegosis on this severe warned storm off of CASFW. Looks like a bit of an inflow notch and hook forming too, wondering if they'll tornado warn it soon. #mbstorm

@ironworksJS @russhjelm @whittakertp @USAmbCanada The Ambassador bridge is owned by the donor to Trump who made the big fuss and started all this. In this case he'd be paying the levy but go ahead and keep trying to tear down the country you supposedly live in.
English

@Computim @russhjelm @whittakertp @USAmbCanada lol. You leftists are such retards. Like really terrible humans. They made a new deal. Now you want Canada to enact tariff measures on the bridge because you’re big mad. Go yell at the TV or something
English

Canadians need to boycott the Ambassador Bridge. Use the new Gordie Howe bridge or the Windsor-Detroit tunnel. Screw @USAmbCanada and his donor.
English

@SteveDaly15 @kinsellawarren Good time for an environmental levy on the Canadian side of all bridges there as well. Oh, you mean the Ambassador bridge is losing out.. oh noooooo \o/
English

@kinsellawarren Trump forgot one detail.
One end of the bridge owned by his big donor is in Canada.
Time for some roadwork. A limit traffic using it to 6 tons. And reduce customs staff.
Oh, and the bridge twinning they wanted.
Yeah… not gonna happen.
English

He's a lying bastard, but if it's in any way true that Canada chickened out, Carney is going to wear it. #cdnpoli

English

@smellurfingers @Gray_Mackenzie We're literally paying the money to service the interest and principal on the loan. I'm sure your bank would love to know you didn't pay for your mortgage or car...
English

@Gray_Mackenzie Canada didn't pay for the bridge. They banked the bridge. These are two very different things.
English

Here are some of the details on what Canada had to give up to open the Gordie Howe Bridge, as per a Canadian government source.
For the first 15 years, Canada gets 50% of toll profits and the other 50% goes into a regional "economic development fund." What that fund does and who runs, is not clear
Under the previous agreement, Canada was to receive 100% of toll profit until they were made whole on the $6.4B they spent to build the bridge, which Michigan/the US contributed $0. The agreement also says it could be 50+ years before Canada was whole, that timeline is now longer.
The Americans will have to agree if Canada wants to increase the bridge tolls by more than 10%, or lower them below compared regional averages.
That clause helps out the owners of the Ambassador Bridge, the Maroun family, who have donated to the Trump administration and previously to US ambassador to Canada Pete Hoekstra, to try and stop the new bridge from opening #cdnpoli
English

@sentdefender Considering the lack of the countermeasure pods on the wings are fairly obvious and have been public since the first pictures of the aircraft came out this is going to go nowhere...
English

The New York Times reports that the Trump administration has issued grand jury subpoenas to several of its journalists following the newspaper's reporting on security concerns surrounding the President's new Qatari-donated VC-25B Bridge that recently entered service in the "Air Force One" fleet.
According to the Times, some subpoenas were delivered by federal agents at reporters' homes and require the journalists to testify before a federal grand jury next week as part of an alleged criminal leak investigation. The articles at issue reported that President Trump departed Turkey aboard the older VC-25A at the recommendation of the Secret Service and that the new aircraft may lack some of the defensive capabilities of the legacy VC-25A and new VC-25B fleet.
The Times called the move an attempt to intimidate journalists and said it intends to challenge the subpoenas, while the administration has not publicly commented on the specific investigation.

@steffanwatkins Aging myself here but I remember getting to check out a brand new one back in the 80s out in Shearwater at their annual airshow back in the day. So much history in them, hopefully they can put a couple in museums at least.

@pbontoast1 IIRC They used to have a problem with people smuggling stuff across the lake at International Falls but they've got so many sensors and cameras up that way now I don't think it's been an issue since 2014.. and even back then it was mainly people coming up here, not down there hah
