I have 22 draft videos on my TikTok shop page and I’m going to DELETE every single one. This is a reason I stopped drafting for later. Things move FAST and what is relevant today isn’t relevant a week from now. Agree?

@ugcwithvan Yes this is something I’m getting into now and just made my pdf portfolio of my photos (I’ll have to add short form videos to it as I do those as I already have a UGC portfolio) But how do you get the right person? Some hotels ONLY do exchanges even high end ones.

So many people are making this their full-time job, and as someone who's now done gifted and paid collaborations, it's absolutely possible if you're able to get in conversation with the right people. If you treat UGC as just a way to get free products, then gifted collabs are probably all you’ll get, and travel works the exact same way. @LaurenIRLStudio Never. Some brands will pay you more and a brand won’t look and negotiate they’ll just click off and you don’t even get a chance to persuade them

@ColleenUGC1 I include it in the contract to say 1 revision due to creator mistake for example mispronunciation. If they want a reshoot due to their own needs then it’s a fee. I do try and work with what I have and offer them I can do xyz or if they want xyz done as a reshoot it’ll be $

Things I DONT do as a mid level UGC creator, I USE to do as a beginner: -free sample for content that requires following a brief/revisions/ad usage -not charging for ad usage -just winging content for brands with no structure to it What did I miss?

I know this is how this industry goes but it still gives me the ick when a brand starts running your videos as ads and still hasn’t paid you. I feel robbed 😆🤣

The way you'll know I'm a mom in my content without my kids being shown? I'm stuffed up in about 1/4 of my videos because I'm sick about 1/4 of the time 😂🤧. We're really fightin' for our lives on a monthly basis. Shoutout to brands who give us (and our nasal-y voices) grace 🙏

@frasercreator Yeah I have a lot of examples per niche so the brand can easily see their niche and know if my style works for them. Around 8-10 each

Before you send another pitch, fix your portfolio. One bad video in there can kill the whole deal. My rule: only show your top 5 pieces. Ever. Brands don't scroll through 20 examples. They make a decision in 30 seconds. Curate ruthlessly. Show only the work that looks like the work you WANT to do more of. Quality portfolio → quality clients → quality rates. That's the loop.

@ratecalc Yes agree! Also knowing your target audience. If you can target a specific audience think age, gender, etc better than another creator THATS an advantage as well

@ConaContent_UGC the range is wide because most creators don't know which variables actually move the number. niche multiplier is the biggest one - finance 10K > lifestyle 100K. engagement is second. country is third. once you know the formula, the right number becomes clear 🙌

When talking about rates for UGC projects as a creator it varies SO much. You have your base rate but depending on the scope it could be $250 all the way up to $1,500t. It's no wonder creators, esp when starting out, have no idea what to charge brands.

Reminder: always read contracts carefully!A brand and I agreed on organic usage, but the contract came back with 3 YEARS of paid ads usage. I asked for it to be corrected and they backed out with a passive aggressive email after I shared my paid ads rates. 🙄 #ugc #ugccreator

True story... 13 months ago I didn't even know what UGC was. This week marks 1 full year as an over 50 ugc creator. Somehow I managed to make Top Rated Seller AND Vetted Pro on Fiverr and have worked with over 200 different brands!
