Orb weavers like the one in this photo can can be found at the top of skyscrapers! Theres tons of tasty bugs up high, and they can easily drift up there as babies by releasing a long line of web that carries them on the wind, called ballooning!

@lanabeesfw Random spider question that I can NOT find an answer for! How high up do they normally build webs? I've worked in a lot of offices, and I've never seen them build on the 7th floor (outside) or higher until this year. I just assume it's abnormal. (pictures of said cutie)

This girl is cruising down the highway in her stick shift, windows down, wind in her hair, belting out songs while she shifts gears without missing a beat. She looks genuinely happy and in control. Most people these days never learn how to drive manual. It takes real timing and coordination to get the clutch and gas right, especially when you’re just trying to have fun and sing along. Seeing her do it so naturally makes you realize how much of that skill is disappearing. Do you think driving stick is becoming a lost art, or do you still think it’s worth teaching people even if almost every new car is automatic?

I plan to publicly release all of my medical records by the end of this month. I compiled over 1,000 documents into about 25 pages of summaries. The plan is to beg the YouTube medical community for help diagnosing the problem. And yes, my mental health records will also be public

its hyperbolic, sure-- but if you're playing high movement, triple a studio games its not a stretch
warzone for "competitive play" or max settings suggests 32GB
GTA VI suggests a minimum of 16 with 32 as the "highly recommended"
and yeah, you could argue that im cherry picking, or that the cpu & gpu are most likely optimized like a console, you dont have the same background processes to eat RAM, etc. and i wouldn't disagree.
its still low for future proofing for games and the price of the product, in my personal opinion

2 - i often turned my essays in ~2 minutes before the due date if they were to be electronically submitted. i almost always got an A no matter the subject.
in high school we had creative writing on odd days (they did the 1-6 day cycle thing) and my creative writing teacher was suuuuper lenient which meant my brain didn't respect her deadlines whatsoever. we would get 10 points extra credit for reading the essay in front of the class. we would lose 10 points if the essay was late.
i'd write a quick rough draft, read it, *not* turn it in, give myself an extra day or weekend even, turn in a perfect paper. -10 +10 -> 100%
it helped a lot that i used to do roleplays as a kid so i was churning out 3000-5000 word responses to people multiple times a night at the age of 12 -- so i was quite adept at writing anyway
all that said, i hope you can figure out the deadline thing for your brain -- i'm assuming you've tried the 'i'm wearing shoes so i'm in work mode' thing?
