@Cyrus3v interesting! what would your approach be if the user has no watertight colliders (to convert it to vdb)? just curious... or just throw a polyfill and pray xd

I’m back working on my root tool, and one issue I kept running into was that once I added noise to the curve, the root would start intersecting with the geometry. There were a couple of ways to approach this. Using an Attribute VOP, I tried the intersect node to detect where points were colliding with the mesh. It works, but it’s not very accurate. The second option was to sample a VDB and use the volume sample and volume gradient data to resolve intersections. This approach gives much cleaner and more reliable results. COPSploration in Houdini. A first look at the fluid solver and distortion effects in COPs. It's just.. fascinating and really hard to stop playing with. Soundtrack resourced from @h1sound

@GioakG I've been watching your progress on this solver and it's absolutely insane, is there a patreon where you dive deeper into the process? I don't want the final solver but learning how you implemented the paper, which walls you hit, etc etc thank you!

Testing erosion on 3D meshes - incredibly slow and unstable at the moment, but possibly interesting #GGro

@Cyrus3v After axis and technicolor massacre, I live in constant fear that studios will close randomly from one day to the next

One year ago, I got the news that Axis was in trouble, and then over two weeks we waited to know what would happen. Unfortunately, the studio closed, and more than 260 people lost their jobs. Looking back, it was a traumatic event, but it also pushed me and helped me to become a better person and artist. So I guess the lesson is that although it is hard, we have to stay as positive as possible and push forward, and eventually new opportunities will appear.
