In 63 seconds, Ireland's new President, and her first ST. Patrick's Day message she sends out a message to humiliate Ireland with woke nonense. In 63 seconds She calls SAINT Patrick, Patrick four times. In turn ignoring Ireland's Catholic historical traditions. Refuses to wear green, opting for black instead like a funeral. And espouses a historically innacurate version of events comparing St Patrick to a migrant (he was a slave!) to create a modern day socialist propaganda speech. Disgraceful.

@ConcernedChap @cork_fella @KildareFan2025 Here's where you are wrong. The ref's position was most likely in the middle of the field consider it inline with the Down defender, Kildare player behind, the replay looks like a push would be very hard to see as a push. Ref sees no12 making contact with the helmet it's red.

@Iren_will @cork_fella @KildareFan2025 If you were going by the actual GAA rules, the instigator (Down player) should be punished for the push that caused the head contact, not the Kildare man who was trying to tackle. Again, don’t make comments if you don’t know the rules or the sport.

@Iren_will @cork_fella @KildareFan2025 Runs from distance to tackle. A third player pushed the players he’s trying to tackle and they collide. If that’s a red for you, maybe hurling is too harsh for you.

@Iren_will @cork_fella @KildareFan2025 No, hurling rules do NOT say any head contact (accidental or not) = automatic red card. GAA Official Guide Part 2: red for striking/attempting to strike with head, forceful hurley contact, or dangerous/reckless play to head. Incidental minor contact often no card or yellow only.

@ConcernedChap @cork_fella @KildareFan2025 By the rule book yes a strike to the head is a red card this is to prevent concussion supported by GAA HQ. If you run into a tackle at speed you are the one responsible for where you make contact as no12 is and he made contact with the no4s head you can see his head whip round

@Iren_will @cork_fella @KildareFan2025 So by your standard, everyone who hits someone in the head in hurling, no matter how hard or soft, should be sent off? I’d say you’ve never picked up a hurl in your life.

@ConcernedChap @cork_fella @KildareFan2025 Intent doesn't come into it. A ref's job is hard enough without having to read a players mind. Ref has to call what he sees without the aid of a replay I might add, 12 runs from distance & makes contact with the defenders head this is a red card. What the CCCC do is up to them.

@cork_fella @Iren_will @KildareFan2025 It would be a different story if his intent was to nail him with a shoulder from the start, missed, and hit his head. There is clear mitigation here and no intent. You know that.

@cork_fella @Iren_will @KildareFan2025 A slight knock when someone is pushed into you isn't a red, it's barely a free. Helmets exist so we can play fast & physical. Refs overreacting like this will kill the game's edge. Real hurlers know that's a soft red. We need to keep hurling aggressive and physical.

@KildareFan2025 The duty is on the tackler to avoid contact with the head. Does he have another option in the tackle the presence of another Kildare player there indicates so, and he still blunders in. Shoulder clips the defender's head, 100% red card.

@neonjazzpe5536 @Mark_J_Henry @EU_Eurostat “Abuse” is nowhere near the main driver for the fact that 95% of brick layers being men. It has a lot to do with the physical labour and lack of flexible hours. Many sectors which report higher levels of abuse have roughly 50% women representation. Your argument makes no sense.

Ireland has achieved near gender parity in science and engineering. 47% of Irish scientists and engineers are female. That's on par with Spain, just behind Denmark (49%) and Latvia (51%). Great progress that will have meaningful benefits for society. 🇮🇪👩‍🔬 ec.europa.eu/eurostat/en/we…

@Riley_Gaines_ The only thing that made you who you are is milking a 5th place finish in a college race and blaming it on a person who didn’t even beat you. In fact, that person could’ve stayed home and you still would’ve come in 5th. You’ve made a career out of coming in 5th.
