Miyazaki did an episode of Lupin the 3rd with the same plot. Brad Bird loved them so much growing up it inspired him to make “The Incredibles” etc.

I love the story of how these gorgeously animated shorts came to be- in 1941 Paramount approached the Fleischer brothers about doing a series- they wanted to turn it down indirectly, so they said each one would cost over $1.5 million to create, to which Paramount said "ok"

@Dev_2000AD @NbRubbish The plot point was they were gonna blow up Endor after the Rebels destroyed the shield generator, basically The Emperor just being petty. But also then it would’ve quite literally been “race to blow up the Deathstar before it destroys a planet” like a New Hope Again lol.

@NbRubbish It is fun the officers being troubled by the idea of blowing up their own men, but lacing the nerve to refuse obviously, stuck as cogs in their terrible machine. I imagine this was all cut because why were they going to blow up the moon to begin with? That's where their shield is

Does anybody remember the show "Free for All"? It aired on Showtime in 2003. I am not even bullshitting, this show was a hit in Germany. It was even uploaded to YouTube not too long ago (6 years or so) and every single episode had like a million to four million views.

@HimesamaFatima I swear probably 90% of the super expensive PS2 games nowadays were sitting on GameStops shelves for like $8 from around 2007-2012. I remember seeing used copies of like Haunting Ground and Rule of Rose at my local one that nobody gaf about 😭.
