In the most impressive feat of predicting ever, the traders on @Kalshi successfully predicted with a high degree of certainty who would win survivor before a single episode aired!! They also flawlessly predicted who would get voted out each week (except for 2 weeks where they were wrong at first, but right eventually before the episode aired) and were able to forecast what Jeff would say in each episode! Give it up for your Kalshi traders!!!

haven’t seen this brought up anywhere else, but Damon Lindelof finally opened up on his cancelled Star Wars movie. Still unfortunate there has been no updates for New Jedi Order, even with a new writer attached as of last year.

@YeahClickClack Yep. I think with Scotland and Ireland, they’ve done enough content there to not really have enough new ground to tread for a whole TS season. It’s why heathland makes sense too; they’re kinda running out of options for places they haven’t at least sort of covered already

@Conley76 their old Scotland TS was a long time ago at this point but they've filmed a bunch since then (TOC Reverse, Film Rooms). I'd be a little surprised if they went back.

the Reimer case quite literally validates the identity of trans folks in that forcing a gender identity onto someone who does not align with said gender identity has detrimental effects on mental health but transphobes use this case as a gotcha because they are braindead

On the left is David Reimer, and on the right is Brenda Reimer. They are the same person. As a child, he was the victim of a botched circumcision, and on the advice of a doctor, his family decided to have him castrated and raised as a girl. For years, doctors presented the case as proof that a child’s gender identity could be shaped by upbringing. But he never felt like a girl. He rejected dresses, hated being treated that way, and struggled deeply with the identity forced on him. At 14, his parents finally told him the truth. A year later, he chose to live as a boy again and took the name David. He later married and became a stepfather, but the trauma followed him for the rest of his life. In 2004, David Reimer died by suicide at 38.

We saw people talk about trying to get Aubry out multiple times all season long and we never saw people plotting to get Jonathan. Because he wasn’t a threat. He didn’t need to “work” to get there because almost everyone would’ve sat next to him and won.

Aubry won by being there at the end. Which to her credit isn't easy to do, but still, Jonathan worked to be there in the end. I don't even think it was close. Aubry got a lifetime achievement award. Is what it is. Happens on Survivor.

Idk the story here, but one of my favorite all time quirks of NYC is the old school bodega guy who initially gets a cat strictly for business reasons (i.e. rodents), but then it quickly becomes a total losing proposition because of vet bills and everything else, only for none of that to matter because he loves his cat and would bankrupt three generations of his family for it.
