I remember that day. We have a lot of horrible things happen here, of course. But there was something about this senseless killing that made it so jarring. And everyone was like, "Surely this will be the incident that finally wakes the city up."
Not me, because I understand the permissive mentality of our citizens and so called leaders. To this day, you can walk around downtown Seattle and every other block has some psycho screaming his head off or acting erratically. In the heart of our downtown and tourist attractions, they openly smoke fentanyl and then bend over in half for awhile in a drug stupor.. And when they're not doing that, they're raiding the stores and selling all their stolen goods right there on the sidewalk.
We continue to vote for politicians and policies that coddle these dirtbags, oit of "compassion." And word gets around. The scumbag who shot the Kwan family came here from Chicago to be a homeless druggie on our streets. There's a reason why we're called Freeattle.
It's such a shame. This is an amazing city with so much going for it, beautiful scenery, etc. It doesn't have to be this way.

We used to have these. They were called Apartment Hotels. They’d consist of a single room with a bathroom, housecleaning, a cafeteria and lounges. Imagine being able to rent month to month and not need to furnish an apartment. It was ideal. Nuts we got rid of these.

Lots of people's social & romantic lives could be vastly improved if it was normal for young adults to live in college dorm-style accommodation in city centres until they were ready to set up home properly. Why doesn't this exist? I think there would be a market for it!

The thing about these old homes is that the floor plan is always genius. You may think that you can come up with a better floor plan, but even modern architects have a hard time doing it right. It’s also not intuitive why this is so nice, and many people have a hard time seeing it in their mind’s eye when looking at a print.

A 1957 “Gossip Bench” — when furniture was doing absolutely everything.
Part chair, part side table, part desk, part lamp, and part telephone station, this mid-century piece was designed for reading, writing, chatting, and keeping the essentials within arm’s reach. A perfect little time capsule from the era when the telephone was important enough to deserve its own seat.

BREAKING: The "pregnant Venezuelan" who was "separated from her small child" that far-left activists have been protesting for after she was arrested by federal agents in Seattle near UW, is allegedly a Tren de Aragua sex trafficker.
The criminal complaint accuses her of participating in a coordinated scheme to recruit and exploit women- primarily from Venezuela—for commercial sex acts in cities including New York & Seattle.
And she was arrested near the largest university in the state.
