@soulsilverart Feraligator was easily the best of the three pre-megas, but for megas I think it’s safe to say Megainium wins. Having a personal sunny day always on is so powerful it’s awesome! Not to mention thematically a winner too.

Don’t get me wrong- I adore this design. It’s definitely in my top 10 Gen4 Pokémon now. I actually think it’s the best Garchomp design out of the 3!

@Pokeboy890 @rasenburst There isn’t any real cost. Storing 30 pokemon is 5 completely different teams with no overlapping pokemon. That’s a lot for competitive! A one time fee of $10 for $80 is a good deal - you’d be set forever and all items are obtainable just by playing the game.

I'm a bit perplexed at some of the takes I'm seeing regarding Champions not having unevolved Pokémon at launch Like, SV didn't have Clefairy for 10 months, Porygon2 for 13, Incineroar for 13 and you didn't have people saying it can't be the place for competitive due to it?

@soulsilverart I feel like this is a surprisingly negative take. The AI required to run so many different pokemon and situations would make the game absolutely massive, making it really burdensome to be brought over to phones. I think keeping the game small(er) and multiplayer only is fine.

The first Pokémon Champions L. No stadium-like single player mode & there doesn’t seem to be one planned for now… It’s not a deal breaker,but still a disappointment for me. Would’ve also been a great way for new players to practice,& an enjoyable way to earn VP,no? When Champions was announced,I said this game’s potential is so huge that it could be one of the best Pokemon games ever… but now without some kind of PvE battle facility, that dream is already ALMOST gone. I say almost because (along with all the development issues) this game was always going to launch barebones. I’ve always been the most excited for what this game will be after it’s been around for 3-4 years. Maybe they add a single player mode eventually because the beautiful thing is that they can continue to update and build upon this game’s foundation …But it’s more likely that they never add PvE, because this game’s true purpose is to preserve every gimmick and battle regulation- A place to preserve the classic turn based battle system, so that the mainline games can have the freedom to experiment a bit more with their in-game battle systems. (Which I’m actually weary about too because, while I’m down for little modern revamps to the system, I’ll never be excited if they veer to far away from the classic turn based system in new gen“core”games)

Competition is not monetized outside of people attending events, so they are increasing the # of people who can attend events.

@KalosGOAT @soulsilverart Hear me out - mega meganium goes OFF on a water team. You get all the benefits of sun, but then also the fire dampening defensive boost from water being up. It naturally will counter any other water team, and is a safe(ish) switch in for electric moves.

@soulsilverart Meganium is honestly crazy. It gets literally all of the benefits from sunlight itself (1 turn solar beam, double growth stat increase, max Synthesis healing, fire weather ball coverage) while not only not powering up fire types, but not hindering your own water types as well.

@nintendo_chall @NintendoAmerica Official tournaments (regionals, worlds, etc) will be on this. Also opens the game to more people, getting released on phones later on as well. It removes a huge barrier to entry. Also allows you to stay in the competitive sphere even if you don’t like the current mainline game.

@wonderof_ @PipsiAraujo @MarvelRivals Most teammates are actively playing out of supports LOS though, that’s the issue. Dps will pay attention to where the enemy is, and dodge them (maybe), but they won’t stop to account for if their healers can even get to them anymore.
