All this used to be underwater Lake Mead is on the border between Nevada and Arizona and it’s water levels are now critically low There are many Data Centers that have been put in the Lake Mead area and draw directly from the lake - Google’s Henderson data center consumed roughly 352 million gallons in one year. It directly pulls from the Lake Mead sourced municipal supply - Flexential Data Center facility used around 20 million gallons in one year - Other Data Centers in the area collectively used over 716 million gallons in 2024, with nearly all the water drawing from Colorado River and Lake Mead sources Pair this with droughts, water demand from agriculture and resident use and now there is almost nothing left… just look at this…. The lake is only at about 32% capacity Why is this being allowed

Article XII, Section 1 of the Virginia Constitution specifies that any Amendment must have an election between its original proposal and passage, and a second legislative passage after that election. - There was no election in between. - The AG was not defending the Constitution here, but decrying that it wasn't ignored. The amendment process requires the following steps: First Legislative Passage: Proposed amendments can be introduced in either the Senate or the House of Delegates. It must be agreed to by a majority of the members elected to both houses, with each member's vote recorded in the legislative journals. Intervening Election Requirement: The amendment is then referred to the General Assembly session that occurs after the next general election of the House of Delegates. This requirement is designed to give voters the opportunity to weigh in on the proposal by electing delegates who support or oppose the amendment before the second legislative vote. Second Legislative Passage: At this subsequent session, the proposed amendment must again be agreed to by a majority of all elected members in each house. law.lis.virginia.gov/constitution/a…

Kevin O'Leary aka Mr. Wonderful
Why is there suddenly such an aggressive push against American data centers and AI infrastructure? After seeing a major spike in coordinated opposition campaigns around our Utah projects, we conducted a digital audit and traced a large amount of the activity back to an organization called Alliance for a Better Utah, which has been pushing misinformation throughout Box Elder County about our data center developments. What’s even more concerning is where the funding appears to originate. After reviewing IRS Form 990 filings and tracing the network behind it, the money appears tied to Chinese linked funding channels connected through an organization called Arabella. Think about the incentive, if China is racing to dominate AI and compute capacity, why wouldn’t they want to slow American infrastructure down?

@jumper42 @kevinolearytv And, going out on a limb, a data center can store and reuse water, probably not so much on Almond farms. - Plus, with the introduction of photonics instead of copper wiring in data centers, both energy and heat will go way down over time. Less heat, less need for cooling.

@kevinolearytv I think the push is against the amount of fresh water they need to use to cool the compute they are generating. If there was another medium they could use or if they could use 100% recycled water you would see less opposition.

Simple, a booming economy is a death knell for the Democrat Party, which is built on victims, and would be a victory for Trump. - Non-Union Electricians making $250,000? Perish the thought! - Retirees with a skyrocketing 401K? The horror! - It's all about the grift and control. We had data centers for a long, long time. They're in a panic as this boom will be liberating.

🚨🇺🇸HOLY SMOKES: Virginia Gov. Abigail Spanberger just signed a bill capping insulin costs at $35 a month. The same insulin that Americans have been rationing because they can’t afford it. The same insulin that has killed people who skipped doses to save money. Democrats keep getting this done at the state level. Republicans keep blocking it at the federal level. This is what governing for people looks like.

So you're going to keep violating your oath of office? "I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support the Constitution of the United States, and the Constitution of the Commonwealth of Virginia, and that I will faithfully and impartially discharge all the duties incumbent upon me as [position] according to the best of my ability (so help me God)."

Performative gibberish, as you can't defend how it didn't violate the Virginia Constitution, which is absolutely, positively, 100% did. - But you don't care about the Virginia Constitution, as you clearly violated your oath of office. "I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support the Constitution of the United States, and the Constitution of the Commonwealth of Virginia, and that I will faithfully and impartially discharge all the duties incumbent upon me as [position] according to the best of my ability (so help me God)."

@Jaaavis Let's be clear. Jay Jones violated his oath of office by actively trying to subvert the Virginia Constitution, as he knew their hasty attempt to redraw the lines was in violation from the start.

Statement from Attorney General Jay Jones: “Today’s one-sentence denial from the Supreme Court of the United States is yet another profoundly troubling example of the continued national attack on voting rights and the rule of law by Donald Trump, Republican state legislatures, and conservative courts. It leaves in place the deeply flawed ruling from the Supreme Court of Virginia, which overturned the results of a lawful election and erased the will of millions of Virginia voters.    Let’s be clear about what is happening. Donald Trump, Republican state legislatures, and conservative courts are systematically and unabashedly tilting power away from the people for Trump’s political gain. Just this past month in Louisiana, Tennessee, and South Carolina, they have redrawn their maps and diluted Black political representation because it threatens their hold on power.    This attack is not subtle. It is a coordinated effort to stack the deck in the Republican’s favor before the midterms, lock in political advantage, and make it harder for voters, especially Black voters and communities of color, to hold Trump and his allies accountable. There can be no doubt: Trump and his allies want only their most politically extreme supporters to have their voices heard in Washington. The Supreme Court of Virginia’s previous decision and today’s refusal by the United States Supreme Court to act are only bolstering these extreme MAGA voices.    Virginians demanded elected leaders who would fight back against these attacks on our democracy and on our freedoms. Those elected leaders followed the law and constitutional process, ultimately giving Virginia voters the choice to join the fight on redistricting and choose representatives who reflect their values in Congress. More than three million Virginians made their voices heard at the ballot box, and a majority voted “yes.”    The Supreme Court of Virginia contorted the plain language of our Constitution and our laws to undermine their will. Now the Supreme Court of the United States has allowed that injustice to stand.    This fight is far from over, and I am committed to fighting alongside you. I will be on the campaign trail, working tirelessly to support our Democratic candidates so we can win control of the House in spite of Republicans putting their thumbs on the scale.”

Governor Abigail Spanberger
The Supreme Court of the United States has now joined the Supreme Court of Virginia in choosing to nullify an election and the votes of more than three million Virginians. These Virginians made their voices heard — casting their ballots in good faith to push back against a President who said he’s “entitled” to more seats in Congress before voters go to the polls. As Governor, I will make sure voters know when and how to cast their votes this year. Because our votes are how we choose the representation we deserve.

@E__Strobel The sudden interest is that the Left just can't have a booming economy, can't have electricians making $250,000 a year when they're not in a Union they can't grift from, can't have retiree 401Ks skyrocketing. - They can't win on victim ideology if nobody needs them.

Data centers have been part of American infrastructure for 30+ years. Before about 6 months ago, nobody was talking about them. Now ask why... Why the sudden interest, all over the country, all at once, with clearly choreographed talking points? Does that sound even remotely 'organic', or does it sound more like astroturf?

Totalitarians like Jay Jones wish the state could just violate its own constitution whenever it wants, curiously violating his oath of office to uphold the Constitution. - Where's the impeachment? "I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support the Constitution of the United States, and the Constitution of the Commonwealth of Virginia; and that I will faithfully and impartially discharge all the duties incumbent upon me as the attorney general for the Commonwealth of Virginia, according to the best of my ability, so help me God."

The Virginia Constitution Article XII, Section 1 requires that a Statewide Election take place between the proposal to change the map and the statewide vote to change the map. - There was no election in between, clearly violating its own Constitution. - I don't know when Abramson blocked me, but it was surely for pointing out 2+2=4 errors in his alleged logic in the past.
