I have been using a @Construct3D_AM C1 for my #SMRRF26 by @The_SMF_ prep for the last few weeks, and what can I say? Out of the box, the machine is delightful. It's solid, this was a 21 hour print, and it just worked. (ignore the stringing, that's me using the wrong filament profile) This particular C1 is one of their print farm machines, 2 years old, and yet still going as strong as if it was freshly built. Let me know if you want me to set up an as close to 24/7 live stream on the run up to #SMRRF so you can see this little fellow churning away with some @sunluofficial filament printing out the #STEM pile (#3DPrinted in #Sunlu Marble Oreo)

@MrPewpyButWhole That’s the goal of the double linear rail setup, to minimise any twisting caused by momentum. Additionally by putting the motor directly above the top rail it allows for the force transfer to be minimised.

@Construct3D_AM yes this makes everything clear. hopefully at high accel direction changes there isnt much tilting (as described in voidstar lab video on PP material youtu.be/S6_xnzt9YPU?si… )

@Construct3D_AM If the deposit is £1000 how much tea has to go in the harbor to find the final cost in real currency? 😜

@Construct3D_AM thats impressive, what about the distance from the carriage mount to the nozzle tip

@MandicReally Printers on tool carts might have been a strong influence on the design

@MandicReally It look mad tall. Starting to look hot with the black. Wonder what it would look like in gloss black.

@MrPewpyButWhole The nozzle is reinforced with a custom metal 3d printed clamping block, and the heatsink is attached via 4 compressed ceramic shims - this makes the actual overall distance from the nozzle tip to the heatsink 22mm. however the actual distance is -(minus)10mm So no bent nozzles!!

@Construct3D_AM We retrofitted a supervolcano with a micro Swiss NG on a tronxy veho600 and we were always concerned about the nozzle collisions destroying a heat break. Because of the extra length what have you done to reinforce to prevent snapping a heat break?

@cptnkearn 😂 That would require us to have more than one currently built and available! All our Beta units are already deployed!!!

@MrPewpyButWhole Yup. The main thing we have been able to upgrade over std6 and others is the overal package length is incredibly small. The length of the extruder is less than you’d expect

@Construct3D_AM so expact the flow rate range of 80 to 110 mm³/s using similar conventions of the hotends mentions, long melt zone and increase surface contact via CHT™

@MrPewpyButWhole We will do more than that and give accurate testing details for repeatability. Including brand, temperature and final flow rate The overall melt chamber length is 44mm with a vanadium tool steel nozzle with CHT:tm: geometry

@Construct3D_AM 8kg a day is just 100mm³/s so its either an std6, chube, goliath, supervolcano.

@Construct3D_AM @DaddyWazzy What’s the total price? It’s not super obvious to me… so a £1,000 down… but how much is owed when it ships? Thanks

@joeltelling We will definitely be making some YouTube vids with it. And I’m hoping to bring one to SMRRF. Formnext is probably too close and we would be able to man a stand with just two of us safely

@3D_Musketeers @Construct3D_AM I've been following Jacob's progress from a startup to now; it's been so nice to watch his continued success and progress. I will probably never be able to afford one of his machines, but I'm thrilled to watch his continued growth.
