Crazy game. The little things that stuck out: Baty throwing out the lead runner at second saved the game. I’m sure I’m not the only one who thought that Brujan was popping into a double play. That’s likely a much different ballgame if a position player doesn’t come in.

Lost in all the hoopla of the new baby Mets was that both Brett Baty, who tied the game with the two run HR to make it it 3-3, and Mark Vientos, whose two-run shot made it 6-3, are starting to get comfortable at the plate. Call me crazy, but playing the same position every day seems to agree with them.
