I’m deeply saddened by the death of NSTOP Officer Bajaur, Dr Abdur Rehman, who was targeted in an attack on his car. He was a dedicated polio warrior who worked tirelessly in a difficult area. This is a loss not just for his family but also for public health in Pakistan.

The loss of seven brave policemen in Bajaur on the first day of the polio campaign is heavy on our hearts. It’s a tragedy for all of us at the Polio Program. They will always be remembered for their untiring services in protecting #Pakistan’s children from this paralytic disease.
