@dcrvtvjujm Harden had good floor spacing and two 6th men of the year in Eric Gordon and Lou will. Russ 2nd best offensive player was Enes Kanter. Oladipo was inconsistent all year. And both missed 10 and 15 games due to injury. Along with the third youngest roster worst 3 pt shooting.

Something not talked about enough is out of all the Star Point Guards of the 2010s that Russell Westbrook was and still is the best and most versatile defender of all of them. Russ Lowry Steph Dame Kyrie Harden CP3 Maybe some people will say CP3, but Russ can guard 1-4.

@Bardock_NBA @TheWestWolfPod I’m surprised you didn’t put Wall. Russ has always been a lockdown defender when he tried. My only gripe with him is I feel he could’ve had at least a few 1st team all defenses. But he lacked effort on that end at times. That’s why I’d give cp3 the edge

@CousinTurn @balldontstop Russ team was legit horrible and he dragged them to the 6th seed. Forget the triple double. Okc was the 2nd youngest in the league and the worst 3 pt shooting team that year. Enes kanter was the only other reliable offensive threat. Oladipo was inconsistent as hell.

No one understand how much Westbrook really slowed down OKC and Kevin Durant, any other all star point guard with some spacing and some type of good IQ and okc has 1-2 chips. One of the worst players to ever play with if the goal is a championship

@TheWestWolfPod It’s hard for me tbh. Russ is at his best when he’s playing like how he was on the wizards. The rockets were the first time we got to see Russ surrounded by shooters and open space for him to dominate the paint. Preferably I like Rockets better though.

2020 because he was injured in 2021. He was injured at the beginning of the season, and it was not at all a good start. He tore his other quad in Wizards preseason, so the regular season started poorly. In 2020, he was healthy all season until covid hit, then he got covid and tore his quad in the bubble. He was great longer in 2020, and he was unguardable for so long. But that Wizards 17-6 stretch was 80% Westbrook's INSANE production. He offset his team's deficiencies in ways I just didn't realize a guard could do. So Wizards Russ isn't far behind Rockets Russ. Might be 1A(Rockets) 1B(Wizards) tbh

@DeadAssFacts1 @Alex_PorterEnt That’s never been the issue with Russ though. Only on his tenure with the Lakers and the clippers with harden was he not used properly. Every other place he’s been given the green light. He has flaws like any other player and isn’t a number one.

Only thing that will make me sad from this entire Clippers saga is losing Russell Westbrook. And I get it. But Ty Lue didn’t use him properly. That’s on him. Which was dumb. You can’t have a player of Russ’s caliber just sitting on the bench. He’s 1 of a kind. A true hybrid.

He was able to get other guys going, make plays and keep the defense in rotation. Yes he tried to score. He wasn’t ball hogging but playing within the offense.

The Russ/PG/Melo year sputtered out (mainly due to injuries) and I'm not saying they should be "celebrated" or anything but the highs that year were so high; if anyone suggested "Russ couldn't captain a winner" that year they would have been laughed out of the room.
