Our hernia rate was primarily based on pt symptoms which we highlighted may cause an underreporting of the true incidence. EP / TV definitely helps reduce the risk of hernia, potentially at the expense of lymph node dissection

However… Recent RCT J Urol study shows 20% hernia rate after multiport, still much higher than 8%… pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/39115122/ Having said that… ….the way to go for SP RALP is EP/TV, bot TP SPARC study confirms that pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/37454768/

@adi_kumar1 I feel like as surgical residents we are supposed to pride ourselves on how little sleep we get. To wear it like a badge of honor. After reading “Why we Sleep” by Matthew Walker, I too am trying to prioritize getting 7-8hrs a night. Sleep is a weapon!

5/ Sleep Skipping sleep puts you at risk of: - making bad decisions by reducing cognitive function - diabetes, high blood pressure and dementia - accidents and injuries I don't want any of these for me or my patients, so I get at least 7 hours a night.
