@dohville @Corkcoco They've totally dropped the ball on this but civil servants can never take the blame so they'll double down, make everyone suffer & the fort will rot again. Can't get over that after 13 years of operating the place theyre to be given supervised access to collect their belongings
English

@CorkHarbrDfnces @Corkcoco Safety? Its a 200 year old fort that they left rot for 20 years after they were gifted it by the DoD, who up to then were using it regularly for FCA training.
English

Load of waffle from civil servants who have probably never been to the fort. Disgraceful treatment of the volunteers who are to be allowed supervised access to collect their belongings. Is that what 13 years of work is called? Belongings? Incredible incompetence from @Corkcoco

Sad news, another great fort project closed by bureaucracy, hopefully it won't be permanent

This doesn't look too promising
The volunteers at Fort Camden who have done amazing work over the last 13 yrs, developing it into one of Corks top heritage sites, have been locked out by the local county council

Eh what's going on here @marciadalton @AudreyBuckleyFF @McGrathSeamus ? The old H&S excuse to kill off a project?
English

@CamdenFtMeagher @ElizabethFort_ @corkcitycouncil @pure_cork That's terrible, you've done so much work over the years and turned the fort into one of Corks top heritage attractions . Have @Corkcoco indicated to you what their plans are for this summer?
