@TheB0rderReiver I'll agree with most of that. I dont think we'll ever see "the end," nor should we. Perty is probably going to come in and start wrecking everything even more. Hope is a big reason why certain factions are rooted for though.
English

@CornFedCody1 40k shouldn't have a winner tbh. It shouldn't have an ending. The point of the setting is eternal war. Stagnancy. Perpetual suffering. Progression, a victor and yes, hope, messes with that.
English

People still cannot comprehend that the entire point of 40k is that there are no good guys. Every faction is evil. Every army is fighting for evil causes. That is the point of 40k. That is the point of Grimdark.
Lion El' Jonson@ExcindioLegio
Yes. They are. Who else would it be? The demon god of rape or murder? Maybe the mind control fish eugenicists?
English

@Howlingmutant0 @turkcegundemtr The dude has hide the pain Harold eyes.
English

@turkcegundemtr Nah if I were with her we doin some deep kissing idgaf
English

@TheB0rderReiver Titus keeps achieving the impossible, Tyberos might cross the Rubicon, and the Lion and Robute are going to meet up. With Perty coming back, I'm hoping to see a return of Dorn as well. If you wish to see that there is no hope, thats fine. I'm gonna keep hoping that humanity wins.
English

@CornFedCody1 And that hope is already crumbling. The galaxy remains torn in two, Tyranids are going wild, Guilliman is sending people like Titus to achieve what they consider to be impossible goals, Orks seem to have taken Armageddon. Hope is failing and the Imperium is too evil to save it.
English

@TheB0rderReiver Yes! That's the beauty of Grimdark. Will humanity continue to mess up and doom itself even more? Probably. Yet, there is hope... and what a beautiful thing that is.
English

@CornFedCody1 "To be a man in such times is to be one amongst untold billions. It is to live in the cruelest and most bloody regime imaginable."
"Forget the promise of progress and understanding, for in the grim dark future there is only war."
The setting itself tells you how that'll go.
English

@TheB0rderReiver I agree an argument can be made. I just dont agree with the argument. Did humanity lose its way? Yes. I think thats why people enjoyed Robute coming back so much. Him seeing how much has changed. Part of the hype is for other primarchs to return and hopefully steer humanity back.
English

@CornFedCody1 Yet you can argue it's barely for humanity anymore. It's for a corrupt religion that shouldn't even exist by the standards of their founder. Corpse starch is a regular meal. Serfdom is the norm. Lobotomies too. An argument can be made the T'au are more pro-human than the Imperium
English

@TheB0rderReiver Evil yes, when viewed with our morals of today. It is a fantasy setting with multiple gods and godlike entities. Not the Triune God of this world. However, in the fantasy one can say that the side fighting for humanity is the good guys.
English

@CornFedCody1 Fair enough. I concede the Grimdark point. That said, 40k is absolutely a setting where every faction is evil. The Imperium are not the good guys. Protagonists? Yeah, maybe. Not good guys though. Any other setting that had a faction with servitors and cherubs would be the villain
English

@StompaofDaWord @ManVsMiniatures No one you pay attention to said a thing. People today will still stir up a stink because of the primaris marines and how that was a way to just make previous armies obsolete. Yet that got written into the lore.
English

@CornFedCody1 @ManVsMiniatures LMFAO no they fucking don't
For example: rogal Dorn tank, centurions, Horus Heresy, 13th black Crusade, new ancient knight variants that always existed but never mentioned before I can go on about the times no one said a thing
English

You have yet to validate their claims. I asked you for numbers that you said were publicly available.
Number of units produced, number of units sold.
You said publicly available, yet you are unable to source and provide.
tlark@tlark8
Do any of the culture warriors validate their claims? I like how sure they are with their takes. minis are not designed by lore first. They are deigned for the game 1st then modified to be manufactured at scale in vacuum injection molds youtu.be/jKMSLoAsNbk?si…
English

@StompaofDaWord @ManVsMiniatures And everytime they do that, people rightfully complain about it.
English

@CornFedCody1 @ManVsMiniatures "I don't want lore being twisted" you mean the thing GW has been doing since rogue trader? Anyway here's the financial report where black library makes about 2.5 million out of 345 million total

English

@Chainsword40k Was there a giant uproar about the space wolves being black? Like female custodes level? Because I dont remember 1000s videos on why they cant be black.
English

@LoganCamFor @ManVsMiniatures To me it sounds like you do have a folder from 1993 with pictures of all your minis.
English

@CornFedCody1 @ManVsMiniatures What source am I gonna post from 1993, bud? You think I have some folder of uploaded pictures of all my minis from when I was 7 and first saw one of the faction books in a game store?
English

@RGuillimanXIII Some part about breathing life into dry bones.
English

@ExcindioLegio I can enjoy novels about other factions, but to not side with humanity is insane. "But they blew up several planets!!!" Yes, its grimdark. We have no happy storybook endings. Just short moments of victory while the next world threatening force heads toward us.
English

Yes. They are. Who else would it be? The demon god of rape or murder? Maybe the mind control fish eugenicists?

English

@Mentalychalengd I'll say it again, memes got me into lore videos, videos got me into the books, books got me researching beginner friendly armies and I suck at anything artistic.
English

Holy shit did people actually ask that people are really fucking stupid to think lore has no importance
Dolfijnmanjohns@Dolfijnmanjohns
> “Why did lore questions even make it into a 40K stream.” Idk maybe bc it’s an essential part of 40K that shapes the entire setting.
English

@Mentalychalengd @AvaVtuber_ Its moments like that, and reading about Dorn and Sigismund that have the Imperial Fists and the successor chapters as my favorites. The shear stonewallness of the characters is amazing to read about.
English

@CornFedCody1 @AvaVtuber_ It was one of the best moments in the book and the complete abandonment of everything else including life and limb made the moment so good
English

@Mentalychalengd @AvaVtuber_ Forgive me, I'm bad with names. That moment when the champion falls and they dont want to lose the black blade. When he commands the one templar, "(insert name) retrieve your sword." OH that goes so hard.
English

@CornFedCody1 @AvaVtuber_ He’s a fantastic character and obviously one of my favourite ever and I think he truly embodies what the black Templars should be and how they she be thought about
English

@Mentalychalengd @AvaVtuber_ Before the book I had noticed some memes that the Templars didn't care too much for the Salamanders. After reading that part, it all clicked together.
Also, Grimaldus's development was well done. From abandonment, to just going through the motions, to leading properly.
English

@CornFedCody1 @AvaVtuber_ Me too the old crowne was super fun and her death was fantastic to spear it throw the heart was great I also really loved the differences between the salamanders and the black Templars and that they staying behind cost them more lives in the long run then killing the boss first
